Weird question, but does anyone else hear their baby crying in their head?

I hope this isn't too odd of a question...but does anyone else get this? Every night when I lie down to go to sleep, I hear DD screaming in my head. It can sometimes be quite difficult to shake. Do other people have this, and is it normal/ok? It can be a but distressing sometimes I find it really hard to switch off.

I would here phantom cries with DD, but it hasn't happened this time. I'd be more during the day when she was napping though. I'd swear she started screaming but I;d go check on her and she'd be sound asleep.

Yep, I hear it, too. It's weird because I have the baby monitor right next to me. DD is 8 months old, so I wonder when it's gonna stop!?

Yes! Although more with dd than ds. In the early days I think it's your brain reminding you of their cries so you can identify it.

Are you feeling anxious at all? I used to get it when I felt anxious about getting things done before dd woke up.

Yep, I always hear it when I'm in the shower, I get out check, and he's perfectly fine, sound asleep or playing not making a noise.

ANother yes here too, I often have to sit right up in bed and have a really good listen. I also have a fan running when I am trying to sleep so I think sometimes the white noise from the fan plays on my mind a bit x

Happens to me too. And happened alot when she was real young id hear her cry just before she'd actually start crying. So id always wake 2-3 mins before her, my mum said she was like that too with us kids.
