That's frustrating. I would make the call yourself to ease your mind. I hope it's your place now Netix and they have just been a bit slack getting back to you.
I emailled our rental application through last Thursday with everything they asked for.
As of yesterday, I don't think any of our references had been called.
Today, I thought, but no idea why, I would look online to see if the house was still listed.
It is not!
To my knowledge, there has not been any other applicants, but they haven't called me. Maybe they called the Man. ? Hmm, yes I will ask him! Can you tell that I'm just a little bit anxious! I'm typing at a million miles an hour!
Yesterday I pulled a card from my deck of angel cards while asking if we would be approved, and got "Victory!". Today I got "Visualise Success" on the same topic. OMG I think I'm going mad! aaarrrrgggghhhhhh!

Absolutely call!!!!!
I'd be so frustrated!
What did the Man say??
I'm not game to call them!
I called him, but his phone always goes to voicemail (I hang up before leaving a message, it sends him a message I rang anyway, then he rings me). I waited for him to call me back, but got impatient, and just sent him a text asking "did we got the house in X street?"
Waiting for a response. If we did, then he's just making me hang out!!!!
Oohhh, I hope he responds soon!!!!
I thought he was jsut being torturous (sp?), but he doesn't know either.
I just called the real estate. The receptionist isn't sure how its going, and the property manager has it anyway.
Except that she's not in the office at the moment. So there's a message to call me back.
OMG! Talk about making me nervous! And waiting!
No-one ever called us back about a rental application, I didn't know they were meant to :-/
Sent from my iPhone so forgive the speelung misstacks![]()
I'm just wondering what is happening, as it has been taken off the web.
Maybe they are still 'working through it', and I still need to be positive!
I'm all anxious for you!!! Hope it's yours.
I guess they may have taken it off if they have enough applicants to make a decision, but just haven't made it yet. Otherwise they may keep getting people enquiring about it. Fingers crossed for you that you get it!
I'm still waiting, but found it online again. It's on a different site to the one I usually look at (and forgot), and it's still on the agent's own site. Oops.
The agent lady rang me at 5.30pm. Gee, talk about making me sweat it out! The reason I hadn't heard anything (along with my references), was that the agent never got the application! Doh! I knew I should have called them to check if they had received it! Evidently, the email address on the rental application form is not the right one.....
The other rental lady showed us the property last week, and the manager just figured that we weren't interested since we hadn't put through an application. But she gave me the right email, and said the second lady would start on it in the morning, and we would have an answer by tomorrow night. Everyone keep sending "Netix is a good tenant vibe" please!

Okok vibes coming your way...........
Tell them to fix the blooming email addy!! Duh!![]()
Sending the vibes babe!!!!
You guys are a shoe in!!
Thanks guys! our friend that lives up there called us this morning, and we thought "oh yeah, she's just calling to say that the agetns have called her and that she's given her personal reference of us" (as one of our other refences had done some 5 minutes earlier. But no, it was to let us know that her friend whom she had mentioned to the Man, was, in actual fact moving out of their 5bedroom home on 10 acres and yes, it would be for rent!
Yes, we are going for a drive tomorrow! And we find out about the first house, hopefully in the morning too, "there were three strong applications".
The "five bedroom" home.... Yeah, well, let's just say three bedroom, with another two rooms that are unusable. The wife, who got there first and showed us around, told us that this particular room, "you can't use in the summer, because you will just cook in there". Let me describe it to you: North facing (in an area where it reaches 45+ in the summer), floor to ceiling window and over two metres wide, and NO outside shading. The pergola which runs along this side of the house, stops just short of this room. Utterly stupid. So that takes it down to four rooms. The room next to that is tiny (you would honestly be hard pressed to fit in a single bed, wardrobe, and a set of drawers in there), and is also on the north side, but no window on that side. However, these two rooms interconnect. So, now three rooms; one of the others is fine and usable, another is a reasonable size, it just has this little study alcove kind of thing you have to go through. And the bedroom itself has an outside door. THe master bedroom is also a reasonable size, and it has this huge adjoing walk-in robe room thing. THere is only one source of heating.
Then the husband arrived. He said the price they were after, and it was between $50 and $70 MORE than what the wife had told us the day before. Additionally, inclusive of that higher price, he could leave one of the horses, instead of him having to pay to adgist(sp??) it somewhere else. Okay, so let me get this straight, we have to pay MORE for the house AND have to pay for everything to do with this horse? Right.
ARGH! We didn't get the house we really wanted (the landlord just chose one of the other people, on the proviso that they go and inspect the property again, but if they decided they didn't want it, then I asked if we could have it. Had my fingers crossed last night, but no wonder-phone call)
We got a list from the agent and drove all around town again, even to a place 10 minutes out of town (just past where we had just been!), and really liked it. Called the agent, had to go all the way back for the key. It was three bedroom, but had two living rooms, so the front, smaller one, could easily have become the master bedroom. We were happy with it, then the Man had a more detailed look, and noticed there was only cooling to the front three rooms, leaving the back bedroom (again, north facing, no outside covering) and living room with no cooling. And there's no bus that goes that far out. So that house was a no.
We drove past one house that is the same price as the one we really wanted, and got to have an inspection. It has five bedrooms (even though they're not very big), only one living area (there were two in the fab house), and a small pool (but it's a pool!). We've put in for that one, even though I still hoped that the people who got the fab house changed their mind. It's with the same agent, so at least we don't have to do all the forms again. That is a pain.
Sheesh, we are cutting it fine to find a house! I have to be there at the start of next month, and the Boy has to start school the week after. It will probably end up being him and I staying there for work and school, with the Man having to do lots of trips with the two little ones. Perhaps I should get off the computer and start doing some packing for him!
Seriously?!? Some people are unbelievable. Fingers crossed an awesome house comes up for you. Then the husband arrived. He said the price they were after, and it was between $50 and $70 MORE than what the wife had told us the day before.
