Food to take to daycare xmas party?

Hi I would really love some ideas on what food to take to DS's christmas party.
We were told to bring a plate of food and I don't really have time to cook up a storm?

Thank you in advance if you have a lil idea for me

Something REALLY easy peasy is Oreo Truffle Balls

    Oreo Truffle Balls -

    2 x 150g packets Oreo Biscuits
    250g cream cheese
White or Milk Chocolate Melted (optional)

    Crush Biscuits to form crumbs
Add and mix in softened Cream Cheese
Roll into balls and dip into melted chocolate
Set in fridge for an Hour

a plate of bite size pieces of watermelon, rockmelon, whatever is in season where you are, strawberries are plentiful here right now. especially in hot weather, bright colourful fruit goes down well.

i'd cut it up the night before, put in tupperware type containers, so on the day, if you're having a bad day, you just grab the tupperware, and icebrick and go.

another "no cook take a plate" idea, buy some dips and water crackers.
or cut up few sticks of celery and carrot plus dips.

Is it for the kids or for the parents or both?

Ours is on Tuesday but the morning tea is for the parents only because there are children with allergies. I am making a massive pav base tomorrow and filling it there on Tues. Takes barely any ingredients and barely any time for prep, once its in the oven it can sit there all day to cool ready for the next day.

I always make from scratch and I use 1/4 cup of castor sugar per egg. Because I need to do a big one I will be using the following:

    9 eggs
    2 1/4 cups castor sugar
    5 tsp cornflour
    3 tsp white vinegar
    2 tsp vanilla extract

Then when I fill I will beat 2 large cartoons of cream WITH a packet of raspberries and a little sugar then top with strawberries and a little holly sprig (for decoration only)

    easy and festive looking

Oh my gosh, such great ideas! I don't know what to do now, though I think I will try out everyone of these ideas at some point.

Those strawberry santas look great! How about making some dips, like fresh avo, lemon & LSA and another one like pumpkin, fetta and crushed pine nuts. The will be colorful and you can serve with some fresh tiger bread strips on the side.

What a great idea these are! So simple & easy! I am def going to do this when I'm strapped for time & in need of a little naughty dessert nibbly type thing.

Loving all these recipes - you're giving ideas to others too! Thanks
