    Pick up after yourself.
If you're going from one room to another and there is anything that needs moving take it with you.

    1. Use something, put it back in it's place and close the cupboard/Fridge
    2. If you empty it, throw it out and replace it (or add to shopping list)
    3. If you use it, wipe it down and sit it on the sink (or wash it straight away)
    4. Remotes back in their place once the TV/STEREO etc are switched off
    5. Finish a toilet roll REPLACE IT

I'm sure there are loads more

Wipe the benches after your finished eating. Clean up as you go along when cooking.
Toilet seat must always go down after finished...kids do this as well
Put condiments away in the pantry after you have finished.
Sweep up after the kids have eaten.
put dirty dishes in the dishwasher..don't leave them on the bench for someone elso to do.
    Hang up the tea towels.
Wipe the stove top down after using..this is usually part of what we do when we are cleaning up.
Clean the splash back if you see it has splashes on it from cooking.
Wipe down your bathroom sink after use.
I have just put in a scraper thingy in the shower, the last one in has to squeegy down the shower surfaces.

Leave all the cleaning for Rowellen. As DS says "Mummy do it!"

Then Rowellen gets sick of it every now & then & rants at DH. He starts doing things for a while but drops into old habits after a while.

Having said that, there are plenty of things that I ignore for DH to do. So it's fair.

But on a more serious note, I do insist on closing cupboards, doors & fridges. I ask DH to put away butter/sauce etc after use but usually I just do it. Food scraps in bin, plate in sink. DS is getting really good at "helping". He gets upset when doors are left open or if we put his plate in the sink & he wanted to (when he isn't saying "mummy do it!".
Also, toys to be put away & lunches made before going to bed (again usually my job).

Kitchen sink emptied (as in no washing & the drainer emptied) nightly.
Rubbish into the wheelie bin nightly (no bin at our place, bag hangs off handle).
Dishes into the kitchen when you've finished with them.
Lights off as you leave the room.
Candles blown out before you head to bed.
Put a load of washing on before you leave in the morning.

    No shoes in the house
Put things back after you are done using it.
dirty washing in the washing machine, unless there is clean washing in there
Put dirty dishes and cups in the dishwasher but only if the dishwasher is empty or has dirty things in it. If dishwasher is full please put it on.
everyone must make their beds in the mornings.
Close the door behind you, but not if someone else is following you through the door. A door in the face hurts.

I wouldn't have thought you'd need a list to tell you to put the butter back in the fridge...

For me it's basically put it back/away is the main one because things get pretty messy pretty easily if you don't.
