    Pre-New Years Resolutions?

so ... lots of us make New Years Resolutions, and some of them get achieved, some of them get rolled over to the next year ...

let's put a shorter leash on this puppy!! it's too easy to lose track of New Years Resolutions - because a year is a long time (even when it doesn't feel like it, in December!!)

what do you resolve to do / say / achieve *before* New Years?

    I resolve to:-

    1. finish some home work my counsellor encouraged me to do, which will be good for me emotionally.
    2. make time to play with my son outside more - there's a park nearby, and fresh air is great!
    3. get DS's new room ready! yes, before New Years.
    4. finish getting DS's baby book up to date!

    how about you?

Get fit. I'm running out of excuses. My DD deserves a healthy and happy mum.

Get all my curtains washed, and the spiderwebs inside and out gone.

I want to get my house in order. I want to do a full clean out and organise - as well as get the carpets cleaned.

I better get on to it too.. the time is ticking!!!

Join a mothers group, have a regular weekly fitness activity. Having a baby would be nice.

I really want to get an outdoor area finished off for Moo, so he's got somewhere safe to play while I'm occupied with his little brother.

Stop biting my nails! I grew them for my big birthday party and haven't bitten for 6 weeks so am hoping to keep it up!

Re-organise and re-energise my place and start the couch to 5km challenge (now that I'm no longer coughing up green)

Give my house a good clean, especially my bathroom.
Getting some photos on order and even some on the walls.
Creating a baby would be nice...

Get rid of DD's dummy as I am sick of getting up four or five times a night for no good reason. Date is set for boxing day! We just have to make it through that week.

Clean our bedroom. Properly as in under the bed, the blinds, behind the furniture. The amount of cobwebs & dust in there make a haunted house look clean

Sell some things that have been hanging around forever like my wedding dress. As if I'm ever going to wear that again!

Someone told me recently that it takes 6 weeks to make a habit & 3 days to break it. You're doing well!

    How are people going?

I have only one more set of curtains and windows to wash. Walls in between windows have been done too, so about half of all walls in lounge washed too. Looking and smelling all pretty.

    Then on to kitchen walls.

I stuck to this year's NY resolution to walk the dogs more (although one of our fur babies died so it ended up being only one to walk ). He comes to school with us at least once a week for a big walk and for many, many smaller pick up/drop off walks.

I haven't even thought about next year's. I usually take a couple of weeks to decide what it's going to be and then make it something I can really stick to. Might get my thinking cap on.

    1. finish some home work my counsellor encouraged me to do, which will be good for me emotionally.
I've made myself a template, and now just need to do the actual feelings bit ... wish me luck - I'm aiming for tomorrow ... I'm thinking of having DH drop me off with my laptop at a cafe, and giving me (say) two hours before he gets me - then I'll have no internet, no TV, no DS, no housework, no shopping ... no distractions! Just 2 hours to do this work ...

    2. make time to play with my son outside more - there's a park nearby, and fresh air is great!
it's been hot, so I've been playing with him more inside ... might try the back yard at my parents' on Sunday after lunch ...?

    3. get DS's new room ready! yes, before New Years.
no - I need my brother to collect his new (our old) desk so I can start moving furniture ... if it's not happening this weekend, then I'm going to ask DH to dismantle it and put it in the attic, and I'll just start anyway! no more excuses

    4. finish getting DS's baby book up to date!
    DONE !! Both of them

    Done
    10.3km in 30mins!!!

Although I put my socks on funny and the seam ended up under my toe so now I have a blister under my index toe

I'm staying quiet the amount of sweat generated and the fact that my face looked like a tropical sunset when I was done.

Done! Amazing what a bit of shade cloth can do, it's fantastic and Moo just loves being out there!
