Water dispersible bath oil without paraffin or mineral oil

Hello! I'm preparing for my February baby and am looking for a water dispersible bath oil without paraffin or mineral oil ... Any suggestions? I want to use it in place of soap.

I'm not sure about the ingredients but we use Dermaveen bath and shower oil - it is water dispersable, that much I know. On the website it says the active ingredient is colloidal oatmeal but not sure about the rest.

Just found a website that says it contains no lanolin, parabens or perfumes but it does have paraffin.

It's what the RCH recommend for treatment of eczema.

We use QV here as well and Dermaveen but I think it does have paraffin in it. Pretty sure as OP mentioned it is commonly used in the treatment of eczema because it is so effective and gentle. Is there are reason you want an oil??? If you are after all natural soap free bath products maybe look at the Moo Goo bath milk instead?? I would think most of the bath oils would have either in them unfortunately. I only use natural, soap free products on my kids, but sometimes it is the lesser of 2 evils if you are fighting something like eczema.

You can make pretty much any oil disperse nicely in a bath if you mix it into some milk first. Same goes with witchhazel but that has alcohol in it so I would use the milk.

Milk- that's really interesting. Thanks Marydean.

Re the oil preference I find a lot of bath and body washes a little drying on my own skin even if they are sls free. I use the MooGoo on me and it's ok but I can't use the QV wash on me at all. I have used the Dermaveen oil myself and love it- I use to shave my legs! Palmers body oil is mineral and paraffin free but not water dispersible so I could try that with the milk...

The other thing id perhaps like to try in baby's bath is a completely non foaming cleanser... Like Sorbolene but the only Sorbolene products I've seen also have mineral oil.

Yes but that one foams. It's the milk wash right?

yeah 'tis - doesn't foam much but just a little.
Glucosides are cleansers derived from mixing glucose with a fatty alcohol. They are generally acknowledged as the most gentle cleansers available. The downside of glucosides are they do not foam well and other problems that make them difficult to formulate. However, for our own use we didn’t really care about the foam, we simply wanted the most gentle cleanser for our face we could find. This is why our Milk Wash uses Glucosides as its main cleanser, and also why it doesn’t foam much. But we think your skin won’t mind.
