I'm glad she is getting more sleep AmandaWew!
Yay for more sleep
Alex is so close to rolling, this morning he spent half his playtime laying on his side sucking his hands and trying to figure out how to get his leg the whole way over...he loves it when I help him with that last little bit and will lay on his side for ages playing with his toys using both hands. He also doesn't protest being rolled all the way onto his tummy anymore either as he can prop himself up on his arms better to look around![]()
Yay AlexLilly's rolling has settled down now in her cot as she is wrapped now and seems happier with it. I just dont understand why as soon as 6am comes around she cant sleep anymore than an hour or so at a time, very odd LOL You were right though CK I do have an early riser

Amanda, I had hypnotism. I did a footprint of Levi's right foot yesterday, I would love to get it as a tattoo.
Levi isn't interested in rolling yet but wants to sit up. Always leaning himself forward and trying to balance.
completely missed the new thread and was wondering why I wasnt getting anything on my phone..
chatty bunch!!
Anyone heard anything from Jan???????
Still haven't - hope she's ok..
Alex had his first time in the big bath tonight - he LOVED it! So much room to splash and kick, he was making the most of it with the hugest smiles and gigglesThen he had a feed and a story (tonight was The Poky Little Puppy) and now he's drifting off to sleep on my chest.
Lilly woke early after not feeding well and just wont go to sleep. Keeps fighting her wrap and getting out of it. Ugh
Abby was pretty grumpy this arvo, she didn't get her usual after lunch long sleep as we had visitors with lots of noisy kids and then we went out. She's still very much a baby and doesn't really try to roll, she does move around in bed from side to side but that's it. Had a look at a grobag type thing today, still not sure if it would be useful enough for us.

We have had some breakthroughs.. hard won:
Hah, well last night was fun not, she has already learnt how to get out of the cot sheet no matter how I wrap it, so I have been putting her in the other wrap, and then wrapping the cot sheet around her lower half to restrict and anchor her. Seems to be working. She is very active with her arms getting to sleep but needs to be anchored or keeps herself awake. I was very frustrated and upset last night as sleep seems such a battle, so sat up and watched her and figured it out. My daughter is too smart for her own good. For some reason throwing your arms around is a good way to get to sleep apparently! and this is why she comes out of the wrap. I've watched her do it multiple times now and needs to be anchored or keeps herself awake funny chicken.
We are continuing with the play, feed, play sleep as this seems to work best. She is more interested in playing or talking to us when she first gets up, not eating, and it seems she eats better when we do this because then she is asking to be fed. I also have her up for about an hour and a half or till first yawn not first tired sign now, I found putting her down after an hour/first tired sign meant she didn’t seem quite ready to go down. She doesn't cry at all at sleep times now, just tries to get herself off to sleep. Occasionally we get a grizzle but nothing serious. Hoping this is the end of the short naps but we are starting this routine for its first full day today so we shall see how we go.
We figured out the car seat issue too, she was bored! Thanks CkThe mirror I bought was a big hit, with the soft monkey on it, and tied one of her toys to the seat, she hardly cries at all now. Although the mirror is directly in front of her, becuase she wasnt happy where she couldnt touch it with her foot. WEW! We actually had a relativley stress free shopping trip yesturday for the first time ever.

Heh, glad it workedAnd yay for figuring out something that works for better sleep.
Alex had a good night last night, went down at about half 9, woke for a feed around midnight then slept till nearly 5am. Soooo much better than feeding every 2 hours or so. Still trying to get the room temp/blanket combo sorted as our bedroom a/c has 2 options - nothing or arctic blast. Nothing in between. Though considering it wa 30 deg by 6am this morning, probably isn't a bad thing...
Eww at 30 degrees at 6am :S It is very humid in sydney now, it keeps raining on and off and it just keeps going up and up and up yuck!
LOL got no play after the feed this time around, she must have worn herself out talking to daddy.. haha![]()
Awww, how cuteAlex loves playing with his daddy too

Anyone have her number/email/faceboook?
okay guys I have to share a Harriett funny...well 2 actually ...
Harriett and I are playing Doctors and patients.
She is currently a patient.
Patient - Hello Dr, I have a baby in my tummy and I want her out today*
Dr (me) - So you are pregnant and you know it's a girl
Patient - Yes she's a girl... because she is talking in my belly all the time
Dr - Fair enough
hahahah and number 2
So, I ask Harriett to go to the toilet and then get dressed to go to the shops.
She says no, of course.
So I say that's fine, she can stay home while we go.
To which she replies...*that's okay mum, I will do lots of stuff...like make heaps of mess and eat everything I'm not allowed too*...
Harriett - 1
Mummy - 0
Bwahaahahahaha, gee she played you like a pro with that second one![]()
