That is a classic :-)
I'm in the middle of a night feed when I realise I'm busting for the loo. I have new born DS desperate for boob and making lots of noise, DD2 asleep on the floor next to my bed and my mum asleep across the hall. So I bit the bullet and held DS under my arm (stopped feeding him) and went to the loo one handed. All going well until I pull on the toilet paper and realise I don't have my other hand to tear it off - hmm how to get out of this one I thought.
So I lent my head against the toilet roll to tear if off
What have you done to keep your little ones quiet in the middle of the night?
That is a classic :-)
Hahaha!!! That's really talented!!! Lol
Good thinking !
I have breastfed while sitting on the loo! In those early days too when the feeds are SO long and your own bodily functions are demanding.
I was quite surprised to learn I could blow my nose with one hand too. The things we do!
Not really what you asked but im with you Meow...i can perform pretty much any task one handed! after having two cling on babies its just become natural. my show stopper is peeling veggies, DH is amazed at the speed i peel carrots one handed!
Ohhh i've done the middle of the night toilet dash, and figured out how to do the toilet paper with my head too... sad thing was i still did it right up until DD2 gave up feeding so i had this long gangly child attached.. would be hilarious to watch though.
I have bf on the loo many times when boys were much younger and also fought with toilet paper!!
That's hilarious!
How the heck do you peel carrots one handed?!
I have done that too - and turned the light on and off whith my nose![]()
Is that how the got the phrase 'Using your head'?
I have done the light switch with my nose too
DD2 would want to be fed as soon as she woke up when she was a newborn and would cry until she was attatched. Then when she was finished she would want to be put straight down afterwards to sleep. So I would change her nappy while she was BF so she would not cry and wake DH or DD1.
yep ive done that too. its amazing the things you can do one handed if you need to!!
my mum still has the skill of preparing dinner one handed if needed!
Would love to know how you peel one handed!
And I've done the nose thing with the light switch as well.
I discovered after writing this last night I can rock DSs cradle in my sleep too lol
