    Shooting pain in breast

Since last night I've had a horrible pain in my right breast. It goes almost in a straight line from just under my arm to my nipple. It feels kinda pull-y, but I can't feel any lumps or anything.

Any ideas? My mind is screaming only one thing at me, and if I wasn't panicking so much I'd go to the doctor about it today. Someone give me a suggestion OTHER than what I'm panicking about

No-one can give you an accurate diagnosis online. Go and see a Dr.

I'm not looking for a diagnosis, I'm looking for a suggestion of anything else it might be. The only other things breast related I can think of are blocked duct and mastitis, neither of which apply to me.

I could probably get in to the gp today, but I'm so anxious that I'm typing this in my bedroom, I can't even leave the bedroom. The anxiety's not all about this, it's about other stuff as well, I'm just having a bad day.

I have always had shooting pains in my boobs depending on where I am in my cycle. See a doctor if you're worried, but for me that would be normal, try not to worry my boobs have always been achy, stabby things.

There are lots if things it could be...Blocked gland, hormonal, little cyst...lots of things.

For peace of mind, go to the GP as soon as you feel up to it. In the meantime, don't stress over it, because it is overwhelmingly likely to be fine.

    Take care x

FWIW breast pain is not usually an early symptom of breast cancer. You will probably find this reassuring: http://www.patient.co.uk/health/Breast-Pain.htm
But if it persists it's a good idea to get it checked out anyway, especially if it's causing you worry.

That helped a lot MD, thanks I've now got it on both sides, so I'm thinking I might manage to have a normal period this month, and that's what's causing the pain. If it keeps up I'll check it out though

Thrush can give shooting pains in breasts but you really should see a dr.
