Studying online anyone done it with young kids

I have just started my first two out of seven open units of study for my bachelor of education (primary) I'm studying at night when the kids are sleeping. I just want to hear some stories from others that have being there done that. Any advice would be great!

I study with my 4 around nap times and their daycare day. I've survived the first week so hopefully we can keep it up.

I started doing a BAchelor of Social Science when DS was almost 2... it was hard, I managed to keep up with the weekly assignments and readings etc.. but when it came to essay time i was a bit overwhelmed trying to do it all.. DS inly slept for an hour or two during the day- and was horrible to get to sleep at night.. so i was tired alot!!!!
I constantly felt like i was chasing my tail and just didnt have the whole balance of it all working for me lol When i was studying i felt like i should have been doing house work, when i was doing house work i felt like i should have been studying - and the whole time i felt like i needed to sleep lol!!! I fell pregnant again and ended up stopping the course with the intention of going back to it one day! The funny thing is that DD would have been perfect to have on her own and study with. She was a great sleeper (still is!!) and i think it would have been easier if DS was a better sleeper!!

Good luck with it!! I think its a great thing to do while the kids are young.. using Day care would help a lot, even just for one day a week!! I would just say- dont stress if it takes you longer than you thought it would, and dont try to do too many units at once!!!!!!!!

I finishing my B.Ed online. To be honest I'm a terrible student! I have been reading my text book some days while feeding my son then I usually spit out my assignments in a mad panicked weekend before it's due and my H looks after the kids while I'm locked in the bedroom!

It's through curtin uni which is through open uni Australia. I've taken on two units for this first study period. I am just wondering how I will fit in an assignment on top of the weekly assignments? My twins are in cc twice a week but I work those days so studying during the day is not an option.

I'm doing Bteach primary through CSU, grad entry (I already have a degree in Occupational Therapy), either 2 years full time or 4 years part time.
I'm doing part time, but it's full on.
Each subject at least 10 hours reading a week, 2 assignments and 1 exam per subject, arrrggghhh!

I'm only doing a Cert IV, nothing as intensive as the rest of you girls, and I'm struggling, Elly doesn't nap in the days, has never been one to play independently, and takes several hours to get to slee at night, I'm usually falling asleep with her, waking at midnightish and doing 2 to 4 hours of study and housework then, it's the only time I get, hubby doesn't give me any study time, and even her childcare days twice a week are split up between shower, housework, sleep catch up, and study... There is no way I'll go on to a higher course unless things change, have no idea how you girls manage bachelor degrees, hat is off to you for sure
