    Yogurt for little ones??

DD is 15 months old and going through her first fussy stage. She has never been a big fan of yogurt but at the moment i can't even get a spoon full of it close to her lips (I always bought the jalna). I can't even really get a spoon full of anything close to her lips at the moment, she's feeding herself.

The other day i had some of the squeeze Petit Miams in the fridge for the boys and gave her one and she seemed to like it. It may have been a once off but just checking to see that if she does like them it's ok to give it to her. I'm not really good at understanding the sugar contents and what is too high so i'm just checking to see if anyone else can help.

For example Sugars = 8.3. Is this good or bad?

Just struggling to find anything that's substantially good at the moment.

If not what are the good choices?

    Thank you

Most of the kids ones do have a higher sugar content than the normal 'adult' yoghurts so i stuck with buying plain jalna etc but now the girls get vaalia and stuff, whatever DP and i buy BUT that said if i had to choose b/w my child being fussy and eating minimal of anything and eating a kids yoghurt then i would give them a kids yoghurt.
I wouldn't give it to them every day but sometimes you have to pick your battles IYKWIM.

Thanks ZF that's kind of what i was thinking, but just to allow a little variety in our limited options at the moment anyway i was hoping a couple a week wouldn't be a bad thing for her.

I found a Vaalia (i think) option in the squeeze tubes but they were about double the size of the kids ones and way too much for me to expect her to eat and i'm pretty sure after having her mouth on the tube it's not very hyginic to put in back in the fridge.

    Thank you

Could you show her that it comes out of the tube and get her to put it in a bowl and eat it with a spoon, then put it back in the fridge?

I could do that, i'll see how we go. The way we're going if she can manage a few mouthfulls by herself it's better than nothing

What about making her a smoothie? My dd is nearly 15 months and has a smoothie every day. I put full cream milk, 1 banana, handful of raspberries and jalna yoghurt in a blender then into her straw cup and she loves it. If she likes drinking the yoghurts from that straw thingy maybe a smoothie could be a good way of getting something into her.

Babyluv that is a really good idea! Thank you i will do that. She's even off her banana at the moment but if i gave it in something like that i think we'd be right.

    Thanks

My dd was off her food too because she hadn't been well and that's why I started the smoothies. She really liked it so I've just kept making them. Good luck
