Ideas for a Special Piece of Jewellery to pass onto my Daughter

My Birthday is in July (and so will DDs - her arrival is due in July)

Prior to DSs birth I bought DH a beautiful Tissot Watch to celebrate him becoming a Father that he loves and plans to pass to DS when he is 18. It's engraved with "I love you Daddy, Love Bailey" and DSs DOB

DH asked what I wanted for my Birthday this year and I said I'd like a piece of Jewellery that is representative of our Daughters arrival that I can pass on to her when she is 18 - so it needs to be quality, meaningful and ideally something I can engrave.

I've been thinking either a locket or bracelet of some description - It needs to be sterling silver or white gold as that' my favourite. I like simple, elegant pieces.

I've been looking at the Tiffany Website and drooling, but as we will just be starting maternity leave on one wage the prices are a bit much, I am thinking around the $500 mark. I did like the Tiffany Keys Heart key locket locket though and also the Heart tag charm Toggle bracelet. So have some starter ideas.....

Throw some more ideas are me

    What about a ring?

As of yesterday, I am now proudly wearing my grandmother's ring - she had a gorgeous ruby ring made that went to my mum when she passed away and I have been eyeing it off since then.

Unbeknownst to me, DH spoke about it with my mum about it and had it remade for me for my 30th. It was a big job apparently but so well worth it - I look at it and see my Nanna. It is so special.

The fact that I'm 32 in May and only got the ring yesterday is neither here nor there

    What a lovely idea!

I like your thought of a locket - you could have a photo of you and one of your daughter in it.
    Or a bangle.
I also like the idea of a ring...

I'm not much help am I?

Actually, Tiffany's have an infinity ring - could be rather symbolic of your love for your daughter...

    I love the idea.

However rather than something new you could buy an antique locket? They just don't make them like they used to.

What about something with a ruby? Given it will be both your birthstones.

I do love the idea of a locket though
