    Decorating DS' room...

So DS is moving into his new room soon. Yay!

We aren't going to paint a feature wall like we did for the other two bedrooms for kids. So I want some other ways of jazzing up his walls. What can I do?

His bedding is all transport/car themed. MIL is looking for curtains in the same vein. I'd love some removable stickers in a similar theme. Which ones are good? Which ones work? Not too pricey?

What else could I do to his walls/floor?

    Ideas please!

Maybe a rug with a car theme - I think you can get some that have like streets etc on them so he can drive his cars on it.

I got some great stickers from a shop called Parenthood, but can't remember what brand the stickers were (will check tonight when home). We have moved house and the stickers moved with us - removed them without damaging the walls at all and they stuck on the new walls like they were brand new!

if you arent doing a mural maybe get a whole bunch of different sized canvas's that have cars etc on them, that way you can put them all up on the wall, but move/rearrange them as you want.

Pretty sure Spotlight have some wall art type stuff, just remember off the top of my head what themes they have hun. Cotton ON kids have some from time to time too, we got dinosaurs but I think they change a bit from time to time.

Ebay is generally pretty good for wall stickers - price, size and variety

I bought some from a cheap shop once. I don't think they should have called them 'removable'

Probably best to spend a few dollars more and get some proper removable ones

ETA - I linked you on FB to a kids room decorating page I got a heap of Bailey's stuff from there! Walls Stickers are cheaper on Ebay though

I did DS1's in a race theme. I put up a removal race track on his wall & a race track mat. I'm fairly sure there are photos on my fb page if you want to have a look.

We got DS a car mat at spotlight, he loves it.
We decided not to do the stickers but we got a set of four small canvases instead - car, plane, bus and boat.
Kmart have transport themed doona covers (pretty sure spotlight have them too)
DS also has truck bookends and a few wooden cars and trucks in his room. It's a popular theme so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding what you need! Good luck, I love doing up kids rooms!

I got the girls a big car mat from a carpet place, it's huge and only cost us $15-$20

You could paint your own canvases and glue on some match box cars.

Match box had these cool sets that stuck on the walls & the cars came down them?

Have you seen the magnet strips for little boys to put their cars on.. On pinterest or something on fb.. Will try & find the link.

    Wish I had boys

Moo has a helicopter pendent light fitting which he loves. We put various aviation/construction/emergency vehicle wall stickers on the walls and door. I can't remember the brand but we bought them online and they look like they are made out of clay. They look awesome and we have recently swapped his room and the stickers peeled off and restuck perfectly. He has a town car mat on the floor that came from a rug shop, think it cost about $100 but it was the biggest one.

So yeah, very heavily car themed but Moo loves spending time in there. You might be able to see a bit of his walls in his FB pictures

I have seen a couple of cute canvasy type things in Store with cars and trains on them. Would get them for Moo but he has enough on his walls

    Have fun!
