Dd2 has had the worst poos tonight and her little vagina is burnt to the point I can see little blisters forming. She's walking funny because clearly it hurts. I've put seudodo crm on it but. Not sure if that's the right thing. I've also given her Panadol for the pain. No wonder she's not settling tonight poor thing
Hey hun, you might need to take her to the doctor. That once happened to DD and I thought it was from the poos but it turned out that she had a fungal infection. This can happen when there is a little abrasion or opening in the skin around the vagina and then bacteria from the poo gets under the skin and it flares up. The poor little thing. You may need to get an antifungal cream. Hope she is better soon and keep up the panadol for the pain also salt water baths.
Oh no the poor girl Sudocreme will certainly help sooth her skin, a zinc cream would also work well. The best thing would be some nappy free time but obviously that's not so practical overnight. Hopefully the panadol will help her settle.
We are hm all day tomorrow so def will have nappy free time tomorrow. It looked totally fine until the first poo tonight and it was a little bit red but the more she's done tonight the worse it's got (had about 4 tonight) not sure if it's something she's eaten or she's getting/got a gastro thing... I know it stinks though!! Lol
She seems to have settled a bit after the Panadol just hoping for no more dirty nappies tonight
Poor little thing! DS had gastro last weekend and his poor little bottom was so inflamed and red raw. We changed his nappy up to every half hour and slathered it with cream. also used pinetarsol in the bath. I couldn't imagine what it would be like for a girl baby as there are so many more folds to deal with. Hope she and you get some relief soon xx
I also found that when my DD1 was like that if I put any cream on her that contained zinc it just went 3 times as bad. I use bepanthen cream and really slather it on. When she got really bad we had to use an antifungal and a steroid cream as well. Hopefully she gets over it soon xxx
Poor darling I always found that some cornstarch powder helped dry blisters up fast then I would lather cream over it and just let them go nappy free or in undies. Hope it clears up fast xoxo.
Something I have found to be super useful is slathering the area with cream - Sudocreme, bepanthan or zinc - and then covering the entire area with powder. The powder stops the cream going all over the nappy and getting lost.
My baby girl was teething and had gastro and her nappy rash was terrible. We cleared it up by they way I described. Good luck :-)
