We like mooloolaba! Caloundra too![]()
My Mum, 9 year old brother, DS and I would like to have a little holiday on the Sunshine coast. Can anyone recommend any kid friendly places to stay? We would like an apartment with cooking/washing facilities & a swimming pool etc. We will have a car so it doesn't need to be in the main st, but not too far out would be good. I have absolutely no idea where to stay! I have checked out some website, but i thought personal recommendation would be better.

Where specifically do you stay?
My mum owns a unit in Rumba on bulco.ck beach - which is a great beach for babies - no waves![]()
We stayed at oceans mooloolaba right opposite the beach but it's pretty exxy. We won 2 nights there!
Caloundra would have a few family friendly places to stay, a fairly family orientated area.

I've never been to sunny coast so I'm interested too xxx
We were in Noosa and rented a villa through Richardson and Wrench up there, who seem to do most of the rental properties. we were about a 10 minute walk from Hastings St, the main drag, . Noosa was lovely, the river to take the kids, buderim ginger, Australia zoo...
My inlaws have a place at Noosaville - Noos@ Village River Res0rt. We stay for free, but always have a great time.
Mrs Nerd Burger - Does your Mum rent out the unit or does she live there?
Shanti - Thanks I'll check it out![]()
Coolum area - particularly Perigian beach is lovely and very family friendly. Great beaches, a nice little shopping centre with a small grocery shop, bakery, butchers, bottelo, a couple of takeaway shops and close to all the attractions and bigger shopping centres.
I've stayed here http://www.stayz.com.au/52229 it's just devine. A two story unit with two double rooms upstairs and laundry/bathroom, kitchen and lounge down. It has a great deck over looking the ocean and sitting out there having brekky was devine. It's in a quiet area, though the road below gets noisy in the mornings and evenings with commuting traffic.
There is a food spot a short walk away near the beach, and a small shopping complex within 5 min drive with food/bakery, etc. Noosa is 10 mins up the road and Perigian about 5 in the other direction, Coolum about 10-15mins drive.
We stay in Cotton Tree, same area as Maroochydore/Mooloolaba, but a lot cheaper! There are some nice little shops in the area and Sunday markets, and it's not crazy with tourists like Mooloolaba.
That place looks perfect! My inlaws have a place at Noosaville - Noos@ Village River Res0rt. We stay for free, but always have a great time.
A bit further out is a place called Forrest Glen. We stayed at the Big4 caravan park and really enjoyed it. There is a swimming pool and lots of forest for walks. You are not far from some of the attractions and not less than an hour from Maroochydore.
We have also stayed at the caravan park in Maroochydore which is opposite the beach and it also has a pool
Caloundra,is nice and close to all sorts of things. We stayed at Caloundra holiday apartments (I think that was the name).
Noosa, mooloolaba, I love mooloolaba.
