We're all good. Settling into our own routine and life now. Have yet to venture any further then around the corner to the supermarket. Love not having to answer to all the nurses in scn although I miss a few of them, least I had someone to talk to thier at midnight lol.

How's everything for you going? Happy your home?

Yep, soooo much more relaxed at home, getting more sleep and so is DD2. I agree, not having to answer to nurses is awesome. DD2 was weighed today and has put on 180 grams in 3 days. So looks like all is well. We haven't taken her out anywhere yet.

Ahhh sleep I recall that!! Ha ha. Actually we had an awesome night last night. I don't believe in waking a baby for a feed at night so go by her and it's creating an awesome night sleep pattern. Normally she feeds between 930 and 11pm and then not another till between 2 and 3am then early morning

Are you breastfeeding? I struggle with it at times. Took a while to work on attachment - there were only a couple of nurses willing to help in the hospital. In the end I googled it at home and found out how to attach and we have picked up.

Do you treat day feeds differently to night ones? Day time we feed unwrapped, lights up windows open and we play and talk but night time we keep it quiet, wrapped up for feeds and very little light. We found this helped dd1 sort day and night out.

Hopefully we get a few more august babies soon.

I'm exclusively expressing... no formula yet thank God, though my supply is dropping.

During the day we don't bother being quiet, she sleeps in her basinette in the lounge room, and when she wakes we totally unwrap her and be as active as we can. At night, she is in the dark in our room, we don't talk or unwrap her, minimal stimulation etc. It seems to be working .

Last night she woke for a feeds at 8 pm, 12 am and 4 am and I pumped at 10 pm, 2 am and 6 am. Her sleep is getting sorted but I desperately need to pump on her schedule!

    Hello!
Sophia & Isabella born Friday 24/8/12. V quick labour and delivery. All up first contraction to placenta in 90 mins. Everything going amazingly well here. Girls initially v confused re day & night but last night managed 3 hourly feeds and straight back to sleep in Bassinette at bedside rather than wanting to be held and screaming as soon as put down!
Breastfeeding like troopers. Putting on weight. Big brothers doting.
Have been out for a 5km walk today. Felt it in my pelvis afterward!!!
    Hope everyone else well.

5km walk this soon after birth! You are keen! I was worried the relaxin would mean I was so loose I'd tear a muscle or something. I did manage a 6 km powerwalk today, trying to shift those baby pounds.

hey ladies thought id join in!!
walking! gah....im hanging out for chiro on monday. im still seriously so sore in groin, sac joints, tailbone, pubic bone etc from such a quick birth.....happy how are u not sore having 2 even quicker?! % had 2hrs 17mins from contractions to placenta! mind u ive been out n about almost every day since she was born except for the sat. I think it was more the afterbirth labour I had that hurt everything!! 30hrs of painful contractions 7mins apart! was sooo not fun!

as for sleep, dd is still quite sleepy having mild jundice. Im not wrapping her during the day cuz it will be hot soon here (n already is some days) n she just sleeps in bouncer/capsule/where ever. then at night I just unwrap her hands fir feeds n we leave a touch lamp on all night on low anyway. caved n gave her a dummy. she just wanted me as a dummy or to sleep on me all night (day time didn't bother her) but with the dummy at night now I can get anywhere from at least 3hrs between feeds. altho last night she slept 9.30-4.30!! prolly a fluke tho lol!

    Hi,
Just wondering how everyone is going with their August bubbas? Joseph is a super relaxed little guy, sleeping and feeding well. He has been a bit unsettled the past two nights, ?wind pain. And has had green poop, can anyone explain the green poop? I am recovering well from the c/s, trying to get out for a walk each day with DD and DS. I hope everyone else is going well x

We're going well. My little one was 3/7 but 6 weeks early do should only be 3 nearly 4 weeks old. It's gone so fast. She's getting bigger and starting to stretch out at night which is awesome. Big sister constantly asking 'I hold it' or 'I hold baby' or my fave 'I do baby bed'. She slways wants to help

    Hey ladies,

My little man is doing very well. 3 weeks old today and went 8 hours between feeds last night it was so good to get some good sleep He has issues with wind so we have had a few bad days and nights. DD is great with him, she's such a little mother hen its adorable.

I have to get a check up for him as his last hip check the nurse was concerned so i need a doctors opinion, he also has a umbilical hernia like DD did his seems not as bad as hers was but still need to get that looked at. So they have been a little worrying

Do any of your little ones have a birth mark? DS has a fairly big one on the back of his head and one on his right eye lid.

DD had a birthmark on the back of her neck, it just faded over time. It was quite red to start.
