    OMG the pain!!

It started late today in my shoulders. Figured it was just that i'd been a bit stressed so they were a bit tight.
Come to do the washing up and I an barely stand up straight. The pain across my shoulders and down to the middle of my back and around under my boobs and top of my rib cage was horrendous. So I lay down to try and get some comfort. Tried to stretch it out a bit, had a hot shower to ease it. Now laying back on the floor with the pain still all through my back and under my boobs. It hurts to breathe (not short of breath, just hurts to breathe).
Thinking maybe I have pulled a muscle somewhere not sure how though

Holy crpola its painful! I remeber having something similar when i was pg with dd2 but can't remember what i did to ease it.

Have had panadol - the only thing I can have because of allergies and nothing stronger in the house.
Any other suggestions?? I think i'm doing all i can tonight and will try and get to physio/osteo tomorrow I think.

    Sounds like gallstones.

Acute attack feels like someone is twisting a blunt knife into your back. Not cool.

Sunshine - it doesn't sound like anything muscular. Perhaps a trip to the Dr might be more worthwhile than a trip to the osteo.

Gall stones, kidney stones, pancreatitis...they are incredibly painful and the pain in high in the chest and of course radiates to the back. You might have a stone stuck in your CBD.

Being pregnant increases estrogen and flares gall stones. Maybe being pg with DD2 caused a flare up. Perhaps you had smaller stones and one got stuck on the way out, but eventually passed through. They are not a sign of poor diet or unhealthy living.

Its not as bad this morning. Its still a bit painful but bearable. I don't feel like pain killers so thats good i guess.

I've heard of gallstones but don't really know symptoms etc.
Think i'll get it checked then.

The thing with stones, where ever they are, is they often cause pain, but then the pain passes once the stone moves on. (Or never if the stone stays stuck!)

    OMG the pain!!

I'd be inclined to get it checked sooner rather than later. I had stones after dd and I can honestly say, I've never felt anything like it. First time the dr, nurse, and Ambos when they arrived, all thought I (at 26) was having a heart attack. Second attack 3 months later, they Ambos again thought I was having a heart attack.

It was dreadful. I felt like I just needed to go to bed.

I'd honestly get it checked and sorted as quick as possible. It's not a pain you want to keep getting

I had the same symptoms a couple of weeks ago and it was pleurisy. I had to google it as I'd never heard of it! Go to the Docs and get them to check it out, you may need AB's. Good luck and I hope it eases!
