Over the past few days DP and I have really struggled to get DD to burp during and after a feed. We are already using Brauers Colic relief but I'm wondering if it's stopped working or if this Is a developmental phase or something else. DD cries in pain and then farts. She's farting more than ever!
Any ideas and suggestions would be great please.
I found with my two it was just one of those things...
Is she BF or formula fed? If breastfed maybe certain foods you are eating and if formula could be the type.
But her farting is a good sign that it is getting out try bicycling her legs or gentle massage of her belly in a clockwise direction.

have you tried non-alcoholic gripe water? that helped my bub in the first few months. but she hated the brand with the 1% alcohol in it (that i got once by accident).
it was available at chemist and woollies back in 2006. under $10.
DD is on Bellamys as well as my bm.
Tried infants friend tonight and she burped well throughout the feed but struggled to burp at the end. Still, it's an improvement on the last few nights. If it doesn't get better we will try the infacol.
Thanks!

Happened to my DS3 at about 4-5 weeks as well (he's BFd). We used infant's friend, which seemed to help. I also took him to a chiro for some adjusting - his cranials and pelvis were locked up, and in particular his pelvic area issues were impacting on his gut ... long story short, it led to wind pain and colic. I also took DS3 to the dr to get him checked over after a few days of seemingly bad wind/colic issues. It turned out he had a slight ear infection (which cleaned up of its own accord within a few days).
Other things that helped with DS3's wind pain were cycling his legs and pushing his legs up to his tummy, nappy free time plus doing the cycling/lifting of legs, bath time and then gentle tummy massage with oils. I also slept him on his tummy during the day (use your own discretion on that one as it goes against SIDS advice). I also discovered I couldn't eat nachos ... his wind "attack" happened 24 hours after a delicious feed of gourmet nachos (boo hoo).
Hope bub feels better soon.
