    Money transfer, how long?

The week before Xmas we bought something from a shop but their eftpos was down so they did it the old fashioned way with the big click clack thing that does a carbon copy if your card. They said it would take up to ten days for money to come out of account. Well I'm still waiting for it to come out! I went to the bank and they can't see it anywhere in my account. She said to go back to the shop and see what's going on. I don't really want to do that though. It's surely not my responsibility to follow this up and chase it up with the shop. It's really annoying having to make sure I keep an extra $22 in my account for whenever it comes out and I have to do it so I don't get an overdraw account fee. Considering its been around a month ago now do I assume they didn't do it properly or should I keep waiting?

Sometimes it can take a month I think. When they do their end of month banking?

I too hate having to wait for a business to take out money! Grrrr

It can take up to 3 months to process, normally, but what sounds odd is you said for eftpos? Those manual click clack things are only for credit cards!
So yes I'd be going back to the shop!

During the exchange fire outage we had to do a lot of manual transactions. Some came through quite quickly, yet I am still waiting for one done late November for petrol. Every week I question about it.

Rather than going back to the shop i would just give them a call and ask if all their payemtns have been submitted.

That's a good idea, silly me didn't even think about calling them. Probably the simplest way to go about it.

I was going to suggest a good old fashioned phone call too.

Haha. Yeah I was just irritated at the thought of going into the shop that I didn't think of calling. Der! :-)
