I saw a ghost last night..

it was a dream but I didn't know at the time, it felt so real.
we are trialing Spock in her own room to see if she sleeps longer than 2 hours at a time (not making a difference but anyways...)
(this is all the dream..) so she was asleep in her cot and I had fallen asleep on yhe futon in her room. iwas woken up by an old mam talking to me. he was really in my face and determined to tell me something but I couldnt understand what he was saying. I know he was speaking english but was like he couldn't speak. I tried telling him I couldnt understand him but he kept trying to tell me. so I tried yelling out to dh but couldnt yell (like trying to yell under water, I think I was trying to yell out for real not just in the dream) so because that wasnt working I started banging on the wall. the old man then went over to Spock (who was still asleep). I jumped up in between her and him and growled at him. he then appeared in her door way. and he stood there and started crying. I felt so sorry for him. I then said to him that I know he is trying to tell me something but if he hurts my girl he will be very very sorry.
I then woke up. now even though I woke up scared like it was a bad dream I didnt feel I needed to check on Spock. I knew she was ok. so I dont feel was is bad or anything but he really felt he had to tell me something urgent. he was old...about 80 or 90. frial but fit looking. he wasnt anyone I knew, I didnt recogise him at all.
    any ideas?

first thought i has was an uncle?
It could well be Spocks Spirit guide, who was trying to help you with her (yea, not all sprits are gifted with communication) if it happens again maybe remind yourself you can hear those who whisper and that you are willing to listen to only this old man and see if his voice becomes clearer xx

firstly it can be really full on having a visit like that. Even if in a dream state.

No clues about where he is from or who he is, but without anything malicious i would suppose that it doesnt really matter. good on you though on drawing very clear boundaries around your DD. I think that is always super important. to let them know that you are capable and the one caring for and protecting your family. Whenever I have issues of being reminded to check on the kids or the like I tend to use light visualisation (and this is where it goes a bit kooky): so i send out a strong white light that covers myself, then spreads out towards my kids and DH and the animals and then the house. this gives comfort all round really.

because my watcher is quite regular I tend to thank them for checking in on us and show off my girls and how much they have grown and then i do the light thing...kinda as a way to say thanks, but we are ok and all good.

It is really sad how upset he was. poor man hopefully he can see that you and your family are AOK and that can bring him personal comfort?

Re: I saw a ghost last night..

    thanks girls.
I do that light thing regularly mainly around Spock. I do it when im feeding her to sleep at night. I find visualisation helps with the DMER.
I would love to give him another chance. he got me off guard and having never met him before and being in her room I was defensive.
it could be one of dh's uncles..but when I described him ti dh he didnt say he knew him.
ill try and be open and make him aware I am aproachable to try again if he wants.

Re: I saw a ghost last night..

ok so he (or someone else made another appearance today).
I was standing in our lounge room and Spock was sitting about a metre maybe 2 away from me. I wasnt facing her she was at about my 7-8oclock itms. well I saw something out of the corner of my eye as I did Spock squeekes and crawled tpwards me fastest I have ever seen her move and she wrapped her arms around my legs. wss like something gave her a fright. except every other time something scares her she just sits there gets a certain facial expression and about 20sec after will start crying. this is the forst time she has run away from something. we do play chaseys and she will crawl away from us and we chase her. but I got the feeling she was startled.

You could try doing a smudge if your worried.
Startled isn't always bad but you say it was weird for her.

We have a salt line round our house to ward off things that aren't here to help or love us. It makes us all feel safer.

Being clear about what is not ok and what is ok helps you to feel calmer and them to communicate better, I hope you can sort it

there is still something here. but no more events, or atleast no more off putting ones.

I might smudge again. i did when we first moved it, probably wont hurt to do it again, seen as it;s been 2 years.
