    Size counts?

Master 4 /5 is a fussy eater to put it polity.
He also has issues with wanting to be small, be cute, be the baby.
He's a bad sleeper- wakes a lot has dreams that make him upset.
He's been sick a lot! But over the last 6 mths he's done really well and hardly been sick.

He's starting primary in a few months and he's tiny. If I told you he was 3 you wouldn't bat an eye

He's had very basic health checks and I give him a multi vit and extra iron because his gums get very pale.

He puts on about 1kg a year for the last 2 years. That doesn't seem enough.

How small are your "tiny" kids?
Im wondering if I should push for a very through check with a pead.

He's happy and very creative. Just tiny.
Is it very tiny? I don't know how big European kids are

My 5.5 year old boy would be just cracking the 20kg mark now. They would be a similar height. DS seems pretty average in class, he isn't overly small nor overly big.

Your son is half asian? That could account for a finer frame - my best friend growing up was an asian boy and if he turned sideways no one could see him.

I think my DS is quite small. He is 16kg & 100cm. He turned 4 this month. He's a skinny little thing (still wears size 1 shorts ) but he rarely gets sick. He's healthy & active. My family are all on the small side so I think it is in his genes.

Is your family or your DH's family small? If so, I would be more concerned about your DS being ill a lot than his size. I think if you are worried, then you should get him checked out.

    Size counts?

Some kids are just little I think, my niece is 3 and only 12kg and about 90cm tall. I think if he's eating and active don't stress too much

He sounds like a reasonable size for his age to me On the small side maybe, but not tiny.

DD2 has just turned 4 - I think she is quite big but she is 108cm tall and 16.5kg, DD2 was a smaller child but at 4 she was 106cm and 15kg

ETA - both girls are well within normal ranges for that age. There are 2 girls with an anglo mum and asian dad at school and they are MUCH smaller than my kids ie they are 6yo and smaller than my 4yo - but both parents are quite small themselves.

My DS is about to turn 4 and is almost 12kg's...and is 91cm's tall.

He had lots of tests/bloods when he was 1 because he was so small and they all came back fine. Our Pead put him on Poly-Joule which you can buy over the counter at the chemist and we added it to his food and drinks....extra carb's. This helped him put on some more kg's

I don't know how tall my DD is but she weighs around 16.5-17 kg and is 5.5 yo. She isn't the shortest in her grade and nowhere near the tallest. She is just petite, always has been. I am short and DH is only 5'10". I'm sure your DS is just going to be short and of slight build.

My daughter is 27kilos at 5.5yrs and I dont know how tall she is but alot of her class mates looks like they dont come much above her shoulders. She looks like she is in the wrong class room. My husband is well over 6foot and I am almost.
