    Cold toilet seat problems

Currently DS1 (nearly 4) is refusing to go to the toilet to do poos. Eventually he's told us its because it's too cold. DS is day trained usually, although lately we've backtracked with the poos because of the cold seat. I don't remember having this issue last winter. DH doesn't really want to buy a seat warmer (& I don't either just for about 1-2 months use). Tried sitting in the toilet tonight myself to warn it up but he only ended up weeing on the floor because he forgot to point down while sitting We're having major meltdowns over us trying to get him to use to loo at home. Childcare and other places he's fine with - go figure - no warned seats there.

Any suggestions (even if its only where to get a darn seat warmer from)?

What about the foam insert seats? Might be a bit warmer then plastic?

We do have a folding traveling cushion seat somewhere but he refused to use when I bought so its away somewhere; will try to look for it on the weekend. He hasn't needed a insert seat for ages so didn't think of that. Thanks

Sorry if this is a bit late, but timber seats don't get as cold as the plastic ones.

Might look into that one (haven't needed to poo at home yet - 2 days of childcare and then out at my parents today - tomorrow could be interesting) still have to find the traveling seat....

Maybe try ebay for a seat cover?? My grandparents IL in Japan had a terry towelling cover AND buttons you push to warm it up before you sit on it. but hey whatever works!!! You might be able to get one from O/S?

I just searched eBay - heaps of options, for just a few dollars. Might be worth looking into!
