    IVF and natural fertilisation

    Hello ladies

So, I have just started to learn about natural fertilisation for IVF and I wondered what people's thoughts were on it. I have a very usual cycle, 28 days, usually ovulate on day 13 and all of my tests indicate no probs with me, the problem is with DH morphology and motility. I am guessing the cons for natural is that only one egg is taken as opposed to taking a number and fertilising a number of them, so in that way it would be more cost effective ? I do like the idea of very little hormones and trying to keep things as calm as possible for us both. Love to hear people's thoughts.

I cant help much with the process as i did the standard ivf but is it much cheaper? I would think that you would still need the same amount of monitoring to check when you will ovulate (and actually come to think of it wouldn't u need to take something to stop u releasing the egg and then a trigger so u don't miss it?) and once the doc is 'in there' I don't think it's much extra trouble to get say 6 eggs vs just 1.
Sorry I'm not much help, but it does sound a interesting/good way. I hope whatever you decide that it's a smooth and quick road to success xx

From what I read it is less intense because you don't have the hormones. It's been great to read lots of different posts and get our heads around IVF and different options as now I feel I can ask questions about things I know a bit more about. It will largely depend on cost, I think it is roughly $1500 - $2000 in Tassie so for us that means maybe 2 goes at it, which would probably mean doing traditional IVF so they can extract as many eggs as possible . That's my thinking anyway but they may say something different !

Sorry, I might be misunderstanding you but are you saying a full stim cycle is $1500 -$2000 in Tassie?!

If it is, I'm moving!! A basic stim here is over $4k!
