Menstrual cycle for 11yo.
Hi Ladies,
Am hoping you can assist me (reassure me) DDs cycle seems to be a bit light. I am sure this is just her body adjusting.
She will have a period every 2 months for one day, still goes through the moods on the months she doesn't actually have a period.
This is 'normal' right? Is this just her body preparing for something more regular or should I be concerned?

From memory I think it's just part of the body working itself out. They say it can take a few years to regulate.
I had one period at 12 and then not another one for 6 months and then a few moths later again.
Maybe just mention it to your gp next time you have an appointment if you're worried.

Thanks. I really can't remember that far back but I figured it was pretty normal.

My nieces are 15 and 13 and got their first periods at 11 and 12. What you describe sounds absolutely normal. My younger niece is now almost 14 and her periods are still somewhat irregular but are gradually becoming longer heavier. Completely normal.
