    From memory I think it's just part of the body working itself out. They say it can take a few years to regulate.

    I had one period at 12 and then not another one for 6 months and then a few moths later again.

    Maybe just mention it to your gp next time you have an appointment if you're worried.

    My nieces are 15 and 13 and got their first periods at 11 and 12. What you describe sounds absolutely normal. My younger niece is now almost 14 and her periods are still somewhat irregular but are gradually becoming longer heavier. Completely normal.
