Sometimes it can just take a while longer than usual to process the reconcilliation. Maybe give centerlink a call and see if there is a hold up because it should be paid automatically.
Potentially stupid question... I have searched & searched on the centrelink website and just can't find the answer so before tackling the phone queue, I thought it wise to ask the knowledgable BB ladies![]()
Do you have to apply for FTB each year? We have lodged our tax returns and I just assumed we would get it automatically as we have in the past. So far we haven't and it's been 2 months since we lodged our tax. We got CCB & CCR back ages ago. In the past I was getting FTB fortnightly but last year with our estimated income, we no longer got fortnightly payments. Our actual income was much lower than our estimate so I believe we should be eligible for part of it - at least the supplement. I'm not 100% sure as I can't find the 2013 income test details. Kids are fully imunised and DS has had his 4yo health check up. Should I just lodge a claim & see what happens? Does anyone know what the limit was for 2013?

I had to redo my online form to claim it for the last financial year, as the previous year I'd claimed it along with my ppl.
I have not gotten mine either
You don't normally, however if you stopped receiving it due to estimate you will have to change your estimate
If you have received CCB and ccr back already it sounds like your ftb was cancelled due to higher income so you'd likely have to apply for last years ftb as a lump sum claim, as CCB and ccr won't reconcile until your taxable income has been received by fao
Thank you all. I have lodged a claim online so hopefully that will sort it out.
So, can I just ask, if we didn't receive any FTB at all through the financial year, and were intending to claim at end of financial year if we were entitled to it, we would have to lodge an application? We lodged our tax returns and received CCB and CCR automatically, and going by this years calculator (with last years figures), I think we should get a small amount of FTB. I just assumed it was automatic, but reading this, I am thinking it might not be. We have received it in the past before my DH changed to higher paying job, just set our estimates high last year so we didn't get overpaid. I will call centrelink if need be, just don't like taking the time from someone else who really needs it if I don't need to.
Rowellen - sorry for hijacking.. But it seemed pointless in starting a new thread..
If your CCB and ccr have reconciled on actual income, and nothing has happened with ftb, then chances are you have to lodge a claim for te previous financial year. I would suggest doing it rather than calling up. It takes a few minutes online to lodge it. And if you have already been reconciled for last year, the person checking it only has to generate a quick letter explainining it. Much quicker (for you) to do it this way![]()
No probs DMB. It seems like you are in a very similar situation to me. I applied online about 3 weeks ago but haven't heard anything yet. It was really easy and quick but I just don't know if it worked. I'm not desperate for the money just now though so I'll wait out the 6 weeks and see what happens. Will let you know when I hear back.
I lodge mine online, waited 6 weeks, and hear nothing called up to see if everything went through. The lady on the put me through t another lady who worked in the area for processing it, and she did it straight away.
So if you lodge and don't hear anything after 6 weeks call up.
Thanks.. Where do I need to go online? I have login details and had a look this morning before I posted here, but couldn't find where to do it.. I am very challenged when it comes to computers, lol..

7 weeks & counting..... currently been on hold for over half an hour. I'll have to hang up soon if there's no answer as I'm at work and will have to go home. BG, do you have any idea what could be holding it up? I've lodged our tax returns in July, our income is under the limit for the supplement, DS had his 4yo healthy start for school check (what a waste of time and resources that was!!!), and both kids are currently up to date with their immunisations. CCB/CCR was reconciled back in July and our actual income is showing on the website. Have I missed something?
ETA - I have contact! 38 minutes later!
ETA2 - they have no idea what's going on either. Must be a big backlog I guess?
I would say there is at least 7 weeks at the moment - anywhere up to 10 or more.
As you can hopefully understand, lump sum claims for a previous period are not deemed to be as critical as new claims for fortnightly installments. There is no set time frame to get them processed - processing is done as quickly as it can be, but no one could say at any stage how long the wait is. it's just one of those wait and see situations.
3-4 weeks is unusual - there is a possibility that you were still active for ftb on the system for the financial year, and payment just caught between ato and fao, which has now been released
