I am so frustrated right now. A friend has suggested applying for FTB as DH and I didn't earn as much as previous years due to me extending mat leave (woo). But I can't remember my customer access number. And I can't see where to get it sent to me or whatever. It seems to want me to re-register.
Gah.
I'm sure I've written it down somewhere. But WHERE????
Been looking! Problem is we haven't had anything from them in ages that has been worth keeping so we've (ok I've) tossed it. Don't have anything easy to find. Grr.
DH says wait and ring them Tuesday. Not excited by that idea at all.
You can ring up and they will tell it to you again and you dont have to re register? I think if you re register you dont have much in the way of security clearance or something so you dont have access to as much until you provide it (again, I think that involves ringing up?) That happened to me awhile ago so after re registering i had to call up anyway lol.
I had this problem last week. I get everything electronic so had no paper from them at all. And couldn't for the life of me find the number. I just rang them, was on hold for 45mins but they told me after my telling them my name dob addy etc =)

Another option, do you have a mygov number/login? you log onto that and access your centrelink through there? (Only if you have it already set up.)
I doubt they are open today. It would say on their website though
You can register again using a new can if you really need to do it today or can't call up next week to get your existing numbers. Simply go to register on humanservices website, and apply to register for centrelink online services, and then choose "I have a crn but don't know it". Someone will then get your claim and link it to your existing file. It isn't the preferred thing to do - if you can't find your CAN, the best thing would be to call up on Tuesday to get your existing one. But the option is there to re-register. You only need minimal registration to apply for a payment
A lot of updates are going on constantly and it can impact online services. And surprisingly (or maybe not!) a lot of claims are lodged on weekends. Probably because their is an extra parent around to watch kidlets, or people think they are the only people home on weekends lodging claims, but really many of us are in the same boat lol
