..unless im in the bed with him and then he generally doesnt wake (i dont t hink, i just have my boob out and he goes at it when he wants to..)
when he wakes, hourly  he doesnt want to eat, just wants me there, just latches on and goes straight to sleep.. this started about a month ago..
is it a phase, have i created this? and am i just makig it worse the longer i leave it?
Dunno. I am no help to you, all my kids did that for months on end at around that age. It was hell. I hope you have more luck sorting it out than I did xx
It's hard work, but entirely normal for babies and young children to need their mums to sleep. It will pass with time. If sleeping together helps, is that an option for the time being? Personally, I just do whatever works best and results in the most amount of rest all round.
And no, you didn't 'create' this; he's just an ordinary human baby By meeting his needs, you will get through this sooner, and with a happier baby *in the long run* than by trying to work against biology.
yes co sleeping is what we are doing and i dont mind.. still co sleep with my 4 year old, but ds and i are in dds bed and dd is in my bed..
i guess i was checking if its normal.. dd never did this, and i didnt bf her past 4 months so didnt know if bfing was creating this habit esp since hes not actually eating just suckling for comfort i guess..
Nah, people say that but they have cause and effect mixed up (and always like to *blame* mum). He wakes so he breastfeeds to go back to sleep. Totally understandable.
Look after yourself. It is a really hard time when they do this. It will pass though, I promise.
