    first home buyers grant

My parents have decided I can use a 3rd of their land as collateral if I were to buy a house.
Can anyone tell me how this would affect the grant? There is a dwelling on the property. But I'm not even sure it's council approved. So may not count.

But can I still apply if I use the land? It's not a home after all?

AFAIK it's about whose name the title is registered in.

The borrowing arrangements are between you and the bank.

This could, however, differ between states.

    Ask your lawyer.
