    digital kitchen scales

I have been wanting to get these for ages.
I have thought about getting the tupperware ones, or the weightwatchers ones (JIC) but really have no idea.
Has anyone got digitial kitchen scales? which ones do you have?
How much (kg) should they go up to, and can you get them that convert imperial->metric

I have the Salter kitchen scales, I think they were about $100, I love them, the convert from lbs/oz and kgs/gms plus fuid as well and the can be zeroed out so that you can put a normal plate on the scales and then add food, zero it again and then add more food

Ohhh... I forgot to add that the ones I bought have a tare function too
I need to be able to measure food to the gram... so these ones are perfect for me as they go up in gram increments too... and they were cheap which is fantastic!!!

Rach, I got a aet of digital scales on Ebay (made in Asia somewhere, cheap as chips...) that have all the functions you want..........I use them all the time, they have been dragged round the house by the kids, dropped, spilled on etc.......still going strong!

They do metric & imperial, tare, and go up in 1g increments........

Do you mean digital or analogue? I have a set of Salter ones too... love them... not digital (I'm too old fashioned for them)... piccy HERE. I've found them to be very accurate.

I like those scales Bath! I have the Tupperware scales. They do the job, but I do have to be careful what surface I put them on, they don't seem to like my chopping board even though it is big and flat.

Most people seem to have digital ones these days but i just don't trust them. Is that odd? I figure the more complicated (electronic) something is the more there is to go wrong... and what if society collapses and you lose a source of electricity? It's the same with ovens... I swoon over wood burning Agars... (does anyone know if there is a thread about them?).

I have had the Salter Aquatronic for about 3 years and love them. Have had no probs at all with them. They were $150 and still are but are often 30-40% off in post-Xmas sales.
