    What camera(s) do you have?

Thought I would start this off so everyone can post what they have and comment on them for others looking for a good camera.

I have an SLR - Canon EOS 500N with a 28-80mm lens which John and I have had for about 5.5 years.

I also have a Canon Digital Ixus 60 which is a compact point-and-shoot.

    I now have a DSLR - Canon EOS 400D with 2 Canon lenses, 18-55mm and 75-300mm.

LOL Kelly, as well as having the 400D, we also have an EOS analogue - but a 300N! We also have a Sony Cybershot with underwater housing (for diving) and JVC Everio hard-disk video camera. DH is a mad keen photographer as you can probably tell!

wish this thread was started yesterday!!! - i just ordered a Sony DSC W80 online yesterday - v nervous as never made a big purchase online before hope its an ok one - surfed for alot of info and have got it v cheap compared to normal shops but am scared it doesn't come with the proper battery and charger like they do on the shops which would add about $100 to it anyway. Live and learn i guess.

Julie, I think the my compact Sony is great (although a different model to yours)!! It has endured a lot of knocks and bumps and still functions fine I have a new charger and battery that aren't the Sony brand and they work fine thus far. The biggest downfall my cyber shot has is that it's capacity to take macro shots is very limited... but for family shots it's great

Good luck and I am sure you will be happy with your purchase

I've got a sony digital point and shoot and also a Pentax SLR.
Julie, I love my sony - it gets bashed around heaps (it's even got a dent where Yasin threw it) but it's still going strong.

ETA - does the camera on my phone count because that's the one I use most?

Dach I didn't think about my phone camera but yep I'd include that

I thought I read somewhere that Sony have taken over Konica/Minolta so that should be of great benefit to the Sony brand.

Thanks Tanya and Dach - glad to hear yours does well. My main use for it is to take pickies of the kids as we also have a fuji finepix S7000 which is great for what it was bought for (DH to take close us pickies of rocks - that don't move) but the shutter lag makes me so frustrated when trying to snap the kids - they have usually turned round/stopped smiling/had a tanty before the darn thing take the picky!

ETA - oh yes - camera on phone too but no way of getting pickies off phone yet!

I can't figure out anything that isn't point & shoot and my BIL just bought me a gorgeous compact digital camera - Canon SX100 (???) either way, it's 7.1 megapixels, 10x optical zoom.

I have a Pentax A20 which I used to carry in my handbag for those moments when you get presented with a perfect pic and need a camera on hand, but now it's on permanant loan to MIL.

And I also have a Sony H5 advance compact which is one of the loves of my life, and from which I have taken the most amazing photos.

And I have a Panasonic Video Camera which I won in a raffle which I don't really use.

I have a Canon EOS 30D with 17-85mm and 100mm macro lenses, I still have my old Canon Powershot G5 and DP has a Powershot A520 which is our 'stick in a pocket and go anywhere' camera. No, we are not sponsored by Canon. LOL...

Also have a Panasonic NV-GS230 DV camera.

I have a Canon EOS 400D with the 17-85mm USM IS lens. Saving the $$ for a few other lenses, a speedlite and a tripod. I have an awesome Crumpler bag to put it all in too.
