Oh there are so many things Paris got a beautiful book on Faeries for Christmas with all these little hidey holes and lift out bites (from the people who do the pirateology etc range) and she LOVES these books. Each page has a little surprise for her

Paris does like Jewelry but I think its something she'll appreciate more in a few years iykwim?

High School Musical is very big atm so anything related to that would be loved I'm sure.

What do you want to spend lol?
Age appropriate activity books usually go down well with littlies and their mums.
How about a little back-pack or trolley suitcase?

I have a 6 year old step-DD and she loves drawing, colouring in, anything arty. She got money for xmas and bought herself a Doodle Bear. It was $30 and it was from Big-W. You can also get Doodle Dolls and Doodle Monsters. Basically, its a teddy bear that comes with markers and they draw or write all over them and then when they want to re-do it stick it in the washing machine and it all comes off and they start again.

Just a suggestion, something crafty as well as kid-like and fun. If not there are so many things for 6yo girls, its a really good age group to buy for I think.

Oh and the other thing she got with her money (she got $50 for birthday as well as $50 for xmas) was a My Scene doll which is remote control. Just like a remote control car but its a doll! She races it up and down the hallway with her brother who has a remote control car. From memory that was about $50 and she got it from Target.

I dunno about the dora explorer, whilst my daughter still likes it her tastes are growing up somewhat and it might be a little young for her. Not nit picking Just something to think about.

My 6yo loves perfume (I get her the pretty flower ones, not anything trashy). She's also into music so has a few CDs (once again, age-appropriate).

What about a jewellery box? DD2 hasone and loves it, it has the musical ballerina etc in it. You could put a small piece of jewellery in it too.
I agree with cailin re Dora, my DD has just turned 8 and I teach 6 yr olds and they are too "old" for Dora!! (in their minds anyway) My class all like High school musical too, Erin got 2 dolls from that for Christmas which sing!

hi noni - Jess loves High School Musical at the moment (so do I lol- Troy is a little hottie!!) but if your friend doesn't have access to foxtel she might not know about it. Maybe a CD of groovy dance songs for kids. Lip Gloss always goes down well in our house too, and Nighties are a favourite too.
