She just scared the $%&# outta me.

DD is 4 months old and is sleeping in a basinnette in our room. I don't know why i woke but i think i heard a little noise, or perhaps mothers intuition. My DD was choking. I can only pressume she inhaled a bit of spew as she was on her back swaddled. She was red in the face, arching her back trying to gasp for air.
I picked her up, leant her forward and patted her back. She came good, a bit of liquid ran out her nose and mouth. Now she is fine, sleeping in my arms but i am too scared to put her down! i am a pretty relaxed mum but it scared the carp out of me, not feeling very relaxed at the mo!
Just needed to tell someone, not many people up at this hour! Thanks for listening.

Thanks Sam and Melissa,

i spent an hour cuddling her and making sure she was breathing ok before we went back to bed! She pretty much went striaght back to sleep after a bit of a feed. It was just her neurotic mother who couldn't sleep.

She is just fine this morning. I don't want to put her down or let anyone else have a cuddle! Sure i'll be over that soon.

Ange, you poor thjing, I know how scary that is! I hope Lu is okay now.

When DS was tiny he used to get this awful reflux choking thing happening. I learnt how to deal with it, but the first time it happened I nearly called an ambulance! Of course, it was at 1am or something so I spent the rest of the night with him strapped to me while we sat in a chair LOL. I was so scared it would happen again.

Thank goodness for the mummy sensor!

what a terrible experience. I'm glad she's ok.
I've woken up in the middle of the night to a non-breathing baby and it took me a long long time before I could sleep soundly again.

Daniel did EXACTLY the same thing to me once. I was too scared to go to sleep ever again after that. He's never done it again thank goodness.

Oh ange that would have scared me too, I've been there with Paris and it sure does give you a heart attack. I'm glad she's ok now

Aww thanks for your kind words ladies. Hope i never have to see her do that again. DH is away so i was feeling all on my lonesome! Now not feeling so lonely. Thanks!

I told her she is not to scare her mother like that EVER again! She just looked at me and dribbled a bit.
