    Smile IVF failure

Im new to this site and after getting the result yesterday that our third attempt at IVF failed i decided i really need some advice.
Are there different methods of IVF i can try?
Each time they've increased my medications but no result, my husband wants to try a new clinic and gyno he thinks it's their fault and we could have different results elsewhere. Do you think this is right or everyone has the same method??
As anyone who's going through this knows it's so heart breaking when you get a no and the fact that i'm young, fit and healthy makes it even harder to deal with, it shouldnt have to be this hard to fall pregnant!!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.:

I've heard some people have had different results at different clinics/with different FSs, but then again you may also get the same result.

Have all your 3 cycles been the same protocol? (eg down reg, flare, antag).

I've done 4 down reg cycle & haven't really responded with egg numbers. My next cycle is a flare, as my FS thinks the down reg may actually be putting my ovaries to sleep IYKWIM.

How many embryos have you transferred? There is always tests for recurrent implantation failure, that is normally done after 3/4 fresh cycles.

    HTH & good luck

Thanks very much for your reply, we've done two fresh cycles and one where we used a frozen egg.
On the first cycle i produced 5 eggs but only 2 surivived, one which got implanted and the other frozen. On the second fresh cycle i produced 8 eggs and again only 2 surived so i currently have one frozen.
I'm not producing a lot of eggs but they think the problem is with the egg not attaching to my wall.
This test your referring to do you think i should ask for this to be done since i've now had 3 failures?

    Hi Lisa,

Have you tried some accupunture? I have an attachment problem and I am trying accupunture this cycle to help with implantation. I am still in the TWW so I don't know if it has been sucessful but I am hopeful! There is lot's of information on the net about accupunture and IVF.

    Question Recurrent implantation failure

Does anyone have more information and know of any IVF facilities that have success with recurrent implantation failure. We have now done three fresh cycles. First cycle transfer one grade 1, second cycle transferred two embryo grade 1 & grade 2 and third cycle transferred two grade 1 embryo without success.
We also have never had any embryo frozen.

    Hi Lisa,
I'm really sorry to hear about your failed cycles - it is so hard to cope with when you expect things to go well, and then they dont.

My DH and I started IVF due to issues - we are both in our early 30's, and as we were using ICSI I thought we would fall pg easily...but we did not. After 2 stim cycles and some frozen embies did nothing, I asked (and pushed) for further blood tests around implantation failure - at our clinic they dont normally do them until you have had 8 failed transfers and we were at 4. Well 'Bing', I came up as having antinuclear antibodies, which means that my bodies was attacking the embies and not letting them implant - hence BFN all the time! I saw another specialist, was put on asprin and heparin and at our next transfer fell pg - we are now 14wks pg.

I'm not saying that this is your problem, but what I am trying to say is that if you feel things should be working but they are not, talk to your FS and ask what other tests can be done. For me it was hard not to seem like I was being extra pushy - sometimes IVF just takes a while, but I just felt that there was something else not right.

In terms of where to go for more info re recurrent implantation failure, this thread https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...y-testing.html will have some info for you. Dr Gavin Sacks seems to be the guru.

Good luck and feel free to pm me if you want more details on the tests we had.
    FG
