Going Back To Work - Organising Outfits

I'm going back to work in ... eeek, three days! Only part-time but I have mixed feelings about it. So what better way to get excited than to start thinking clothes?

I'm hopeless in the mornings and getting ready used to take ages because I wasn't organised.

So, I've made a list of what tops go with what suits/skirts/pants and I'm going to stick that on the back of the wardrobe door to reduce faffing about time. I've even listed choices of tops/shoes/bags.

Bloody hell, am amazing myself. And am planning to also put coordinating outfits on the one hanger. Would like to think that I'll do that the night before, but hey, that's never going to happen so at least I've got my list to refer to.

What did everyone else do to make going back to work easier?

I don't work any more but back in the day I bought everything in black - that way it always matches.

Back in the day? LOL! *gets back in box* But I was going to suggest the same thing, I guess this is why my wardrobe is so easy For me I purchased a few tops that were classic in style that would easily be able to be worn outside of work if needed. I'm all about a multi functional wardrobe. Definitely do the lay out thing, it saves so much time the next day, and if you get used to it you will do it without even needing to think about it.

Yep, the laying out clothes the night before makes perfect sense but is a bit hard at the mo cos DD is in our room (as is my wardrobe) and I'm on my own most nights so would have to do it before she went to bed.

But I could do it on the weekends. Along with cooking some stews for the week. And freezing my sandwiches for lunches. And organising and clothes pegging DD's outfits for the week. See, I love the IDEA of organising - it's just putting it into practice that's hard.

I hear you on the all-black wardrobe Chloe. That's been my main wardrobe trick for oh, about 20 years!

I've got the BEST idea to organize myself for back to work.

I'm gonna bribe you (with beer and post it notes) to come over here and do it for me

    You're so on Lulu.

Which reminds me - Post-It notes. In another planning activity, I have post-it-noted quick but yummy recipes in my cookery magazines/books for good things to cook when I get home from work. I've also just made a yummy brown rice and roast veggie salad that will be a good side dish with a slab of dead animal for dinners this week.

Getting v nervous about going back to work. Have to keep my mind busy to avoid meltdown.

I work 4 days a week.. on monday (sometimes sunday if we are home) i organise everything for the week. I cook and freeze all our dinners, i iron all the clothes that i have washed during the week and the weekend. In regards to clothes, i organise the night b4 and put it in the spare room or bathroom. Bcoz i dont have to cook dinner when i get home i spend the time with dd and during this time i organise her clothes, bag etc and my things and it doesnt take too long, she usually follows me around the house. Goodluck, its only a matter or time b4 u find something that works for you
