Hubby and I are looking at prams and we saw one about a month ago that had a built in baby capsual that sits in nicely over the other seat. there is a 3 wheeler and 4 wheeler version of this does anyone know the brand name or where i can get one as i can not find it anywhere.
There are a few prams like the one you have described that are currently on the market.
There is a Peg Perego pram with a baby capsule and there is also a steelcraft version. You can check this one out on Britax - Home Page
Steelcraft also have the popular strider prams in a new Deluxe travel system. I personally have been waiting for this for months. I am told it will come in 3 or 4 wheeler and will have the baby capsule that attaches to the pram frame. Apparently it will be in major baby stores this month so it may be worth checking it out. I also found the babies galore catalogue a great source of info when looking at products.
Yeah I have seen the Perego pram as you have described. Very cute, great range of colours too. We decided to not worry as the capsule that is with this pram is not adjustable and only lasts up to a certain age or weight. So we decided to get the Strider and the car seat separately so that we didn't need to go and buy another car seat later.
A friend of mine had the safe-and-sound unity capsule to fit into the steelcraft profile stroller... bought both from babies galore a year ago. Babylove also do a snap n' go capsule and stroller system.
Both of those are strollers though, not 3 wheelers.
I had one for DD#1 it was babylove 4 wheeler but the capsule only lasted til she was about 6 months so with bub#2 we decided to buy carseat and pram seperately as it worked out cheaper and the stuff lasts longer as well. Fisherprice also do the capsule/pram.
Thanks for all the info I think I have fixed the prob I am have got one of those slings that you carry bubs in!! I still will need to get a capsual for the car but i dont need a pram straight away now!!! We are having a Boy too!!! I am so excited
I would probably recommend getting a pram now anyway, just in case you need a c/s and arent able to carry bub for a few weeks, or if you get back or hip pain which might make carrying bub harder. or other scenarios, but these are the two which have stopped me using the carrier i have until now. its also nice to have a coffee, something you probably shouldnt do when wearing bub in case it spills.
