    Achne, Hayfever, arrghhh!

    Hi there all,

me again, im now 9 weeks pregnant... i havent had any morning sickness.. although turned off meat at the moment! but i have achne really bad and hayfever its driving me nuts!!!

im using a nasal spray that the labell says is safe for pregnancy.. my tummy is starting to poke out. i cant even pull it in any more... im guessing thats bloating...

the apetite has subsided... it was rediculious hungry alll the time! i feel like ive put on weight..

is it true that you will put on weight in first and 3rd trimester... and will the hayfever and achne slow down once the hormone levels slow down a bit more??

also im self concious that im showing already... well not baby showing.. just bloated... probably from the increased appetite. my hubby has been saying not to worry that im pregnant and ill only get bigger.. but i guess with feeling soo hungry ive only really been eating fresh.. ie fruit, veg, meat, dairy.. but still feel ike ive packed it on.. im sorry im sure its gonnag et worse.. this feeling that is.. but just felt i needed to express to someone!

I have been wondering about the acne tooo. Mine seems to be getting worse. For me that is the dead giveaway of being pregnant.

As for hunger - 8 weeks pg and really hungry all the time. Stomach is not poking out yet, just slightly bloated after eating dinner in evenings. I think everyone is different as to when they start to show. Some show early and others don't show until near the end.....

I think the variations are normal tho....

    CONGRATULATIONS

Amsta you're UTD that's fantastic congratulations!!!

About the acne, I'm sorry theres nothing you can do, I tried every product and nothing worked because you're body is going crazy with hormones. Mine cleared up overnight once I got into my second trimester so hang in there.

I was also very bloated and felt like my belly was popping too early! You just need to listen to your body right now, if you're hungry eat, if you're tired sleep, your body is working really hard and needs the food and rest. Don't worry about putting on weight you're pregnant! It's going to happen anyway.. Enjoy your pregnancy!

Amsta, your pregnancy symptoms sound just like mine.
My acne is still pretty bad and I'm in the 2nd tri... But my skin is never particularly great, so perhaps that's why.
I too put on plenty of weight in the 1st tri. And this time my tummy was big right from the get-go! Try not to stress. Before you know it you'll be popping out and it'll be all baby
As for the allergies, I can only sympathise. I tend to sneeze all morning long, but it settles down after a while. My problem is with eczema - all over my hands and feet. It has been sooooo bothersome and hasn't gone away now that I'm in the 2nd tri. *shrug* I hope you are more lucky than me and your allergies settle down sooner.
All the best for the rest of your pregnancy!

Im nearly 10 weeks to and starting to show but no one in the family knows so trying to hide it, glad ive finished work for the christmas break at least I dont have to worry about trying to hide it there anymore. I also have had a breaout for the last couple of weeks hoping it goes and not to mention I too have already put on some weight roughly 2-3Kg 's ... well lady looks like we are all at a similar stage. Cant wait for 12 weeks so we can tell everyone... Christmas day willl be interesting trying to hide my hunger from everyone in the family.

Amsta- From what I read excercise is both safe and good for you when you are pregnant, providing you don't overdo it. It is also advised that you continue with exercise you were doing prior to the pregnancy, rather than starting up a new routine. You need to listen to your body and stay away from contact sports. I have continued cycling to work everyday even after becoming pregnant and I haven't had any problem. I have slightly less energy up hills etc but I just take it a bit easier than I used to.

I used to do 35 km rides every so often and really enjoy them. I tried riding 15km this week to my first midwife appt and it just about killed me. I basically fell asleep as soon as I got home.

I am going to continue cycling to work as long as I can (6km each way), but probably wont ride to the midwife again. The hills were too much for me.

I think it is always good to walk especially if you were doing it beforehand, but maybe not at really hot times of the day. Also make sure you drink heaps of water.

    Good luck with the exercising!
