    Washing floors

What do you use to wash your floors? Now that bubs is here I don't want to use Domestos because I think it smells too strong but I do want really clean floors. Any suggestions?

I use Earth Choice Floor & Surface. Great for tiles and our polished wood floors - and at less than $2 for 1 L it's great value.

You could also try vinegar and water. It's a great cleaning solution and very natural.

I have heard of using vinegar, but does it really get the floors clean??

They sure do. I have terrocotta tiles which are hard to clean, but the vinegar & water does the trick.

my mum and MIL both use enjo mops, which is a big outlay but you only use water after that and they do work.
we used to use a floor cleaner called cinderella, thats all natural and non toxic. I think it had a pineapple smell.

I usually fill the laundry tub a quarter of the way with HOT water - I add 1 cup of vinegar, 2 heaped tablespoons of bicarb soda and a capful of essential oils (for fragrance).

    My tiles come up beautifully!

I do what amysarah does, except I never thought of using essential oils for the smell. Good thinking.

I use very hot water and eucalyptus oil with just a capful of bleach. Eucalyptus oil (or tea tree oil) is antiseptic and makes the house smell much nicer than bleach.

I use Enjo - makes my floors shine! I also spray a lil bit of Method allpurpose spray on the floor as I mop - that way I have a nice smell too The Method cleaners are all non-toxic, so I'm happy to use them anywhere!

I just use your everyday No Name white vinegar for cleaning. You can even use it to clean benches, dishes etc. Works a treat!
