I'm Vanessa. I'm married to a loving husband. I have a 5 year old son to a pervious relationship.
Problem is in 2008 alone I had 3 miscarriages and found out just before new years I'm pregnant again. I started bleeding again yesterday morning, I called my GP and had an ultrasound straight away- Im 6 weeks and I couldnt believe how strong the heart beat is. The bleeding hasn't stopped but the morning sickness has and I don't feel pregnant anymore. I'm lying in bed with 3 pillows under my bum trying to stop the bleeding but it feels useless.
I almost lost my husband going through the last d&c and I dont have the heart to tell him how Im feeling.
Can anyone tell me, with pregnancies that go to on normal after bleeding did the feeling of being pregnant stay during the bleeding?
I am sorry for your loss. I've had two miscarriages myself but never had morning sickness at all, so can't answer your question in regards to the signs of pregnancy during miscarriage. However, one of my friends also had heavy bleeding but the baby was fine. Have you passed any clots? If not, there's still hope, maybe you should get another u/s done tomorrow to see what's going on.
Im so sorry to hear what you are going through. I too suffered 3 miscarriages in 2008 so i know how heartbreaking it is
With all of my miscarriages, my symptoms stopped before any bleeding started so i cant be of much help to you but i just wanted to stop by and say that i hope everything turns out well
Also with my current pregnancy i had some spotting at 4.2 weeks and my symptoms (nausea, sore boobs etc) have come and gone and so far all is well, so the loss of symptoms isnt necessarily a bad sign.
Vanessa - big hugs my love. This is tough and only time is going to give us answers here I am afraid...
To be honest pregnancy signs are a very very poor indicator of pregnancy viability. I have hardly any and have 5 live babies. A heartbeat is a far better indicator of pregnancy health. Did your baby measure correctly for dates (give or take some)? You said the heartbeat was strong. Let that give you lots of hope....
Bleeding in pregnancy happens commonly - I have had it and that pregnancy gave me my DS8. I had lots - heavy, clots for weeks. I remember I had a clot that almost fit in my hand. I just thought it was all over. But lke you there was a lovely little heartbeating. My hope is that this bleeding stops and your pregnancy continues. It doesn't sound like you have pain? You have a heartbeat. Just surround yourself with positivity. Dream that baby to life. Love him/her - if he does go you will have loved her - if he stays she will know how strong that love is.
Thanks heaps everyone for your replys. You really don't realise how common it is until you go through it.
I haven't been back to the doctor- he said he can't do anything anyway and the best thing to do is wait 3 weeks (which will make me 9 wks preg) and have another u/s (country hospitals for ya) but if i get pain to go to A&E.
The bleeding completely stopped yesterday but last night i got really stressed and passed a far bit of blood.
I haven't had much pain just pains shotting up and down the inside of my legs (bit like braxton hicks), morning sickness came back BAD, i haven't passed blood clots (like during the last miscarriages), and the blood is dark red- like old blood anyway which is wierd.
My last miscarriage in Aug was the worst and i had to have a D&C i was 7 wks(i think, the sack was a 7 wks size, baby was gone but by my dates i was 9wks) at the time and bled for 5 days (started during my wedding reception) before things really got bad so i guess todays day 5- only time can tell but i feel i LOT more positive thanks heaps.
Flowerchild- that is a really great story, passing clots that bad but still have a lovely heartbeat- it really makes me feel more positive.
