LOL Kat - Euan used to do the same thing. Must be the cool air on their bits.

Hmmm, I think that DP and I are as bad as each other. When he got home from work I sheepishly confessed to buying another Auriel (after swearing black and blue on the weekend that we do not need any more nappies), and his words were, and I quote, 'So? I bought another computer game, guess we're even then'. .

Maz - ouchies - that must have hurt like hell. Sending you lots of kisses better.

lol suse , we play the evens game aswell!!

you BB sure have been keeping me busy with orders !! love ya's for it !

well i got a coolababy from ebay , after reading the reviews on a US site for them.. and im impressed . the OSFA nappy only cost me $2.49 .. and i thought they were going to be crap ! the PUL is laminated and you get 2 MF inserts .. so far so good . i washed it and popped it in the dryer (just to avoid the leaks if there were going to be any ) .. downside ?? Gabriella is still to small for them

RayRay , i got a super whisper wrap , are the originals the one with gussets ..
    which ones have gussets ?

You're right Lea, it is quiet in here. I've come in to suss out a list of other nappy sites that everyone uses. I picked up new ones I didn't have saved in favourites until last week - such s iish fly and genesa forge, but if anyone can sugggest some more it would be great. Enable me!!!

Missy - Hun with written word it is far to easy to take things the wrong way. That is because we cant see the body language or hear the little subtleties in tone and pitch. I try to avoid being taken the wrong way by using the emoticons and by italicising or using caps on the word I want to have the strongest sound. That can really change a sentence to be exactly how it was intended. I have even been known to start a post with "Tongue in cheek alert" to warn everyone that I do not mean to offend and that sometimes I am in a cheeky mood when I post.

My LS is on the way!! I hope the rains dont slow it down!! It has been rainging for so long now!! I need my letterbox fixed!! It is still full of water!!

I finally sent in the paperwork for DH's insurance. Who could have known that finding a JP when DH is not working could take over a week!!! I hope they have everything they need now and his car can be back before he goes away!!

I have to go scare the poor cat with the dryer. Nothing gets dry when it rains constantly!!

Someone was saying about the nappies being out on a 40 deg day? put them out when you get home in the evening and within a couple of hours they will be dry. Maybe try having them out for an hour and then finish them off in the dryer to soften.

WOTB: Nappy combos of some CT variety that DH did.

We've got a severe storm warning so Im enjoying the cool breeze blowing through our house before it turns into a cyclone

Having to dry my nappies inside overnight and some of the Itti boosters in the dryer too cause they just dont seem to dry fully inside. I hate doing it and anally check them for damage lol All this suspicious shredding has me spooked............

Trying not to buy anymore nappies for awhile either..........just browsing sites.........I swear...........

    side snap night nappies
whizz kidz (on ozebaby) having a holiday right now, but you ight see one 2nd hand on buy for baby

lotus nights (own website which is having a holiday right now) grapevine says baby beehinds will be stocking these, this year

dragonflymagik (own website) limited custom slots

i am also finding the kester kover aio's (by possum pouches) a good compromise on my side snapper queen. they're front snapper, but a very adjustable front snapper.

    MAZ
are you a puddle on the floor? after your 42 degree day?
we had 41 here - luckily my friend had a blowup kiddy pool for bilby and her little boy to splash about in

where did you score one more child? or is Jed being a bit norty??

    BRIGSY"S GIRL
BSL might be referring to baby soft landings
it's a mcn site that sells a wide range of mcn and associated stuff
based in tassie, good rep. one of the few places that will embroider you yummy berry plush covers. i remember when i first joined this thread, everyone was red hot on getting one of those!!

i am another person who mainly uses liners, that's what most of my mama pads are. have you seen theclothpadshop site?

i wish i needed some more, would like to try the washable wool ones on bsl, but i can't justify buying any more. (drats!)

    Falguni
i am a touch typist, so am just typing WITHOUT using the left index finger. it's a bit weird! it's much harder driving, the vibration of the steering wheel is v painful, so i'm driving ONLY when i absolutely have to, and driving one handed.

people who have heavy cycles, often end up buyign the NIGHT or POST PARTNUM mama pads. People like noonee wilga (on theclothpadshop site) do customs, so you get to specify the topper, how many layers of bamboo, the outer etc. so just order the maximum layers of bamboo for you.

missymoo - Netiquette is really hard, i sympathise.

    wardygirl -

wahm sites (lots of individual stores, so you pay postage for each store)
    - minicuteture - including ladybug loops for woollies
    - wahmania - including peep-o (nice nb nappies)
    - wahmnaps - including mazalicious and panda baby
    - ozebaby - under aust nappy association, you will find the 2009 calendars. If you are a knitter, some great stores that sell hand dyed wool too.

mcn shopping mall sites (lots of brands on one site, so you only pay one lot of postage, even if you buy different brands of mcn)
    - nurturenappies
    - babysoftlandings
    - babyblossom
    - darlingsdownunder
    - ozbabytrends
    - the nappy bucket
    - berry baby
    - theweewuns

    some random wahm brand sites
    - bits for bots
    - possumpouches
    - cute tooshies
    - greenkids
    - bubblebubs (so you could either buy them from their home site, or one of their distributors, e.g nurture nappies - same with greenkids, cute tooshies).
    - nicnaps

    if you are a sewer:
    - nappies covered
    - bubba earth
    - fairy fabrics
    - baby delight (closing down soon)
    - nappyworks
    - the bamboo fabric store
    - tiny toosh
well, that's a dfew of them

    doe 2nd hand stuff
    - buy for baby
    - monkeys undies

so i'm not promoting any above another, just trying to give people choice, where to look, so you can do your own research, price compare etc.

    CHARMLEA
if you look at a store that selles the FULL range of bummi covers, it will tell you in the details, for each sort, which ones have gussets.

off the top of my head, the ones with gussets are
    - the polar bummis (been around for ages)
    - the bummibrites (very new range
the super whisper wraps have never had the gussets
this is just what i THINK i remember, so go check it, before making a deicision, baswed on my teerible memory!! ha ha

and if ever in doubt, put in your order "COMMENTS" - I want to buy covers wsith gussets" or email the seller BEFORE you place your order and doublr check with them.

Gigi, thank you for your most comprehensive list of sites. I'm going to copy them all out now!

I got fluffy mail this morning!!! (Although I have to say that the Aust Post contractor isn't as nice as his predecesor!)

I got my most yummy genesa forge nappies - 2 minky and 1 fleece. Mmmmmm! And I also received 2 swaddlebee pockets from Maz. Thanks babe.

I'm about to put on a load of fluff as it's such a hot day I could probably wash them twice today they'll dry so quickly and then they'll be on Tyler's little butt.

John DH asked this morning if I'd been able to use the LS yesterday with Tyler. It was great that he was interested. Unfortunately I haven't used it yet. It's sitting quietly on it's lonesome on the wall in the toilet. Ty's been doing his poo in his sposie night nappy before I even get him into cloth. It's a good thing and a bad thing IYKWIM.

Busting for the rest of my fluff to arrive.

Hope you all survive the heat - it's going to be 39 here in Melbourne, I'm sure it will be warmer with you Maz. Not too sure where everyone else is, except for Townsville being wet.
