Cat-sit for a week, Morayfield QLD??

I've just bought a new cat as a playmate for my darling Miscia, they are both around the same age 11mo-13mo... When I go on holiday there's usually at least one family member at home to look after Miscia, or she's gone to a cattery before as well for a week - that would be fine except the new cat has some anxiety issues and I don't think would cope very well at a cattery.
We're going away as a family for my grandfather's 90th birthday in Melbourne, from the 28th of March to the 11th of April - is there anyone around the Morayfield/Caboolture area that may have a reliable and responsible animal-lover teenager/young adult at home that would be interested in earning $50 to stay in our house and look after the two cats for a week? We have a great DVD collection and various game consoles with heaps of games.
I would hire a petsitting service but they only come for about half an hour and both cats are very people-oriented - I'd really worry about their sanity.
If anyone could help that would be a great weight off my mind.

Why don't you google Don't Fret Pet? and see if you can find someone in your area that does cats, otherwise phone your local vet clinic and see if they have nurses who do housesitting... every vet clinic I've ever worked in has had nurses who do housesitting for much cheaper than you are asking

Thanks Christy - I did actually have a look at Don't Fret Pet and they charge $23/day just for one half hour visit a day - I think my cats would go mad with only that much human company!!
I'll get in touch with some vets around here - I didn't even think of that so thanks

Whenever we went away for a weekend when I lived with my parents, they would put the radio on for the cats. Maybe a half hour a day and the radio would be enough?

I just asked Miscia what she thought of this and she looked at me as if to say "What? Are you NUTS? Let's put a plasma television on the table with 24 hour Animal Planet and then we'll talk..."

No but seriously - I think they're too cuddles oriented for that to work... We've found a family friend that will come by for a half-hour to an hour each day, and cut short the trip so it's only four days they'll be alone so hopefully that will be sufficient... Thanks for the help and suggestions though!!
