    Talking Going to Forks!!!!

    I was looking at flights for our USA trip and it turns out that if we leave 3 days earlier we will save over $600. I figured if we would have spent that anyway, we may as well have 3 extra days in the US for the same price.

    So all you Twilight fans out there will understand how excited I am when I say that we are flying to Seattle and spending 2 nights in Forks, Washington!!!!!

    I'm so excited it's not even funny...

    I'll keep an eye out for Edward Cullen while I'm there

    Boomba you gave me the idea the other night!!!! I kept thinking - what a shame to go all the way to the US and not even see Forks. Then when I saw the flight prices my mind was made up!! You know I will bring you back a souvenir - you're my best Twilight buddy!!

    I haven't consulted DH yet but he's pretty happy to go with the flow for this trip anyway!

    So excited I could pee my pants!!

    Whoa, I'm jealous too - but I'll admit I didn't know it was a real place!

    Did they actually film the movies there? It looked beautiful in the film.

    Yep Forks, Port Angeles and La Push are real places! About 2.5 hours drive west from Seattle. We are going to be in San Francisco beforehand and the flights to Seattle from there are really cheap. Google "Forks, Washington" - they have a whole Twilight page!

    The movie was mostly filmed in Portland, Oregon and surrounds but parts were filmed in Forks.

    Going in September Amber!! So far my itinerary says I'll be in Forks from the 8th-10th - but my dates are always getting shuffled around! I wonder what I can bring back that is uniquely Twilight - there will be so much merch there and I'm not really into that.

    I'm going to get a pebble from First Beach (La Push) but not sure what to scrounge for in Forks - any ideas??

    You can all make requests and I'll be happy to oblige - AHHHHHHH SO EXCITED!!!

    I was going to say a pebble from La Push We collected magnets when we travelled didint take up much room and you can dream of your Holiday everytime you open your fridge!
    So they may still be filming then??? oooh how exciting! x

    It sounds wonderful...I haven't even read Twilight or seen the movie, but I feel excited for you! I am definitely going to start reading the books...I have to know what the fuss is about!

    But I must confess, all I could think of when I was reading Twilight, was "Get some PORK on ya FORK". Seems kinda apt with all the carnivorous action, don't you think?

    Clare - I will give him a kiss for you - in fact, I will give him a kiss for every person on this forum and then I will double that to get enough for myself. Maybe I'll just move there.

    Amber - Maybe they will be filming!!!!! I didn't even think of that! I think filming starts in March in Vancouver (which really isn't that far from Forks) so maybe they will film a lot more of it there this time (nearly all of it was filmed in Oregon). Imagine meeting Rob Pattinson - I would turn into a lunatic I'm sure of it

    bon - you HAVE to read the books! You will love it I promise - and then you can join all us "Twlight Crazies" swooning over Edward

    Nikki - I seriously would you know.....

    Ok the La Push pebbles will give me a piece of the Jacob part of the story - but what is something uniquely Edward?? I can't exactly catch and kill a mountain lion to hang on my wall....... or could I....
