What do you use in your dishwasher, and other questions!
Those 5 in 1, or 10 in 1, or all in 1, tablets? Powder? When do you need to use rinse aid? And how do you stop glasses and cutlery getting that white powdery film on them? And do you rinse before you wash? How often do you clean? How do you clean? With a cleaner or do you get in there yourself?
TIA lol. Still getting the hang of this dishwasher bizzo!
Those 5 in 1, or 10 in 1, or all in 1, tablets?
Finish tablets with the red powerball - they are the most $$ but they are the best.
Powder?
Never.
When do you need to use rinse aid?
When the dishwasher tells me to - a little red light comes on when it needs a top up.
And how do you stop glasses and cutlery getting that white powdery film on them?
Use a good quality dishwasher tablet.
And do you rinse before you wash?
Always.
How often do you clean?
Clean the dishwasher?? Once every six months or so - is that bad???
How do you clean? With a cleaner or do you get in there yourself?
You can buy this bottle of stuff you put in the dishwasher and do an empty cycle and it cleans out the whole dishwasher and the drain.
I just wanted to pop in quickly (in a bit of a hurry) to let you know that I have started using the Woolworths home brand (red and white packet) 5 in 1 tablets and the are fantastic! I think they are only $5.99 for 30 tablets. I used to use the Finish Powerball and found that it left the film on the glasses that you were talking about but the home brand tablets are great !!!!
I used to use the Finish tablets but they were expensive so changed over to Morning Fresh powder and haven't noticed a difference. I have never used a rinse aid and everything comes out spotless, no streaks or film.
I don't rinse anything before I put it in there. I know that everything will come out clean so I can't bring myself to use anymore water.
I clean the machine every few months (or when I remember) just with one of those Finish bottles that you put in the cutlery basket and that seems to do the trick to get it smelling and looking fresh again.
I use either Finish or Morning Fresh powder (whichever is on special when I need to buy it). I use the Finish RinseAid and fill it up when the dishwasher tells me (a little light comes on). I never rinse, dishes just go straight in. To avoid the white powdery stuff, use a good quality powder/tablet and rinseaid. As for cleaning, I also use one of those Finish bottles that you chuck in and run the dishwasher empty.
I use the finish powerball tablets with the red powerball and they are brilliant!!!!
I don't use a rinse aid as the little dispenser thing on my machine is broken but I never have any streaks or powdery residue left on the dishes.
I don't rinse them but make sure they are scraped really clean.
every now and again I put the little bottle of finish dishwasher cleaner through on an empty cycle but not that often and the dishwasher seems pretty clean.,
i use a teaspoon of the aldi powder, i also use their rinse aid, you can also use vinegar as the rinse aid too!! aldi stuff has been fine and incredibly cheap!
