Is this normal for Itti bitti snaps?

    Hello,

I have been using Itti Bitti snap ins (not sure if this is the correct terminology) since September. I am finding that the button/snap bits are coming away from the insert. Now I have no ability to snap the insert in and a big hole in the insert.

Any one else had this happen?

That's not good! Never happened to us. Maybe email IB? They have a 6 month warranty but maybe that's up now if you got them in Sept?

    What a pain!

Yup that was the start of my shredding problem.

I've just sold all my itti bitti shells cos it just kept on happening to us. You could see if they would replace it, but you might just be up for the cost of replacing them yourself. Wait until they have a 2 for one special or something - at least its not so exxy then.

With all my snaps, I'm really careful to hold both sides close to the snap when opening, instead of just ripping them open by holding the fabric.
I've had mine about the same time and they have no signs of wear that I can see (touch wood)
It's hard to convince DH to take the same care though... lol

Arimeh - One of mine has started to shredd too.

Crystal - I have been fairly careful with them too.

Even the little red button in the middle of the booster has come out in two of the them.

Crystal - I sorta pluck mine open with my fingernail - so its definitely not a case of user error here

That's a real bummer then. Hope that doesn't happen to mine - I will be devastated. They are my favourite by far

My suggestion would be to not unclip them at all if possible. I love the ittis too

I have emailed the company but I haven't received a reply as yet

I only have one snap-in, but I might just do what you suggest as it's red - one of my favourites. Hope there's no issues with the closing snaps on the others though as well. Good luck with getting a good response - I have always found them lovely to deal with.

Still no reply from Itti Bitti. I will need to buy some more inserts but this has left a bitter taste in my mouth re the snap ins.
