    Another home hair colour thread...

Hello my lovelies. I have dark blonde hair, with the obligatory silvers here and there. I want to do my hair red. The colour I want to do is a Schwarzkopf Brilliance red. Having not had much experience with colouring my own hair, should I get a friend to do it for me? And what do you use to get the colour off where its not supposed to be, like on your neck if you miss?

    Thanks!

How long is your hair? I'm not the world's greatest colour applier either, but I find if my hair is shoulder length or shorter it's pretty easy to get it all over. Any longer and I have trouble though.

Dandruff shampoo is good at getting colour off too.

    Hope that helps

    Bum wipes work every time.

USE HENNA! It's so much better than the chemicals....

My hair is above my shoulders, and soon to be a bit shorter still!

Ah yes, the old bum wipe trick... must stock up on the huggies, they remove EVERYTHING.

Henna you say? Hmm, I'll have to look at that, where shall I start? I just so love this colour I've found! Its very, um, bright lets say....

Henna is sold at most health food shops. I think the Body shop sell it too or they did a while back. It leaves your hair feeling GORGEOUS and doesn't smell

do you have thick hair? you may want to think about 2 packets for good coverage.

eta - just watch with Hanna though, I used it once & it was like applying mud to my hair LOL

My hair is fairly thick since I cut it all off. I suppose I could buy two packets (of whatever it ends up being), and see how I go with one?

When the colour is processing. Wrap your head in glad wrap sounds funny but stops the colour from going everywhere
