The Wahl ones are great, we used to use them in the salon all the time.

I have a wet to dry remington one but never use it on wet hair. Everyone who uses it says it's great and I've used a GHD and personally don't see any difference. My hair is long, thick and plentiful, and the large plates take half the time to get my mop sleek an straight than the thin plates of a wahl/GHD.

I just wash my hair that morning and straighten it before I go out, or alternatively wash my hair the night before if I need it in the morning.

buy them from norris hair supplies (if you have one near you) or ask your hairdresser, they usually know good places to get them for good prices
