I've just had mine chopped and I wish I'd done it years ago! Wash and wear ... will see how long until I need it cut again ... but any excuse fir a bit of pampering is good with me!
I have thick hair, in my 20s I had it waist length and got it cut off in a short bob. Then I went to very short/pixie cut. Upkeep was weekly cuts/thins, but I didn't have to use product if I didn't want to. I lived with my hairdresser so cutting was free, so was product.
I'm in the process of growing my hair again, it is just shoulder length, don't know how much longer I'll grow it, I'm usually on 5 weekly haircuts but right now I've not had a cut in over 2 months and it is showing, I need to get to the hairdresser in the next couple of weeks.
I've been thinking this the last few days too. I have insanely thick hair that is wavy. The only problem is when I do go shorter my hair goes curlier and looks horrible unless I straighten it every day, which is impossible to do with 5 kids.
I had super short hair in my early 20's and loved it so much. It was so fun and really easy to look after. Now though, my face is way to chubby to pull off that look
I'm not talking a bob, or any length at all. I'm talking a fraction longer than Pink's hair. Not in such a boy cut style, but with a few longish bits at the back that will (hopefully) make it more feminine. I cut it to a bob earlier this year, just below my jawline and I'm wanting to go shorter.
I had long thick hair - half way down my back. I recently got it cut to just above my shoulders, the ends a bit layered. BEST THING EVER! I can still put it up in a pony tail or when washed, just towel dry, pop in a little mousse and hair spray and done. I am not big on styling my hair and hate wasting money on product (there's other things to use other than mousse and hairspray?). When I go out, I straighten it which takes no time at all and makes it look completely different to my everyday look. I got this done about 6wks ago and haven't gone back yet for a trim.
I've had it shorter before, like where I could spike it at the back. For me that was too short. I found I had to make the time to do it everyday, even if I wanted a lazy day, I couldn't just chuck it back out of the way and forget it.
