    Yeah I think ****tail and upwards of that for 'formal'.
    I would be thinking tie...but if your DH was looking sharp everywhere else, nice suit and shirt, clean shoes, tidy hair...he could probably get away without tie. What's wrong with ties anyway? They're hot!

    Only if they're a cravat sort of man. If you are a skinny black tie sort of man, don't go deceiving me by wearing a cravat. Only cravat men should wear cravats.

    I'd just suggest a nice slightly modest knee length dress and hair done neatly. DP isn't a tie man either (thanks really because I'd have to google how to tie one ) I've always dressed more formal for weddings but I feel that is what I should do. Even my friend's backyard BBQ do I had a gorgeous dress on while swigging a stubby of beer I don't really do heels though and tend to go more for a low kitten heel rather then stilletto, it passes
