Gold to white gold?

Most cheap jewelry stores like Prouds or Micheal Hill use a 'bleached' yellow gold to make white gold, this tends to look dull and grey, it can then be rhodium plated to make it shinny but as it's been said it rubbs off and you need to keep getting it plated again.

My rings are made from palladium based white gold which is true white gold but the alloy in it is palladium instead of yellow gold so it is shinny and whiter and it's nearly as strong as platinum where as the white gold which has yellow gold as the alloy is softer. My rings are made from the palladium based white gold and are shinny all the time and I will never have to get them covered in rhodium (which looks terrible when it starts to rub off as it's merky and grey underneath)

My advice is to take the ring to a propper jewler and get them to cover it in the high quality 18ct white gold which is palladium based
