Gracie, I'm sure you wouldn't need to go all the way in to town.
Maybe post in the Vic local chat thread, someone mighthave some ideas of where you could go. I'm not exactly sure where the Dandenong Ranges are (ok so I'm crap at geography) but I'm sure there must be good hairdressers closer than the city, what about Ringwood, Boronia etc? Sorry if thats no-where near you!

Used to be about 4 to 5 months for a cut and colour, but have just started going to a new hairdresser and they try and book me in for every 6 weeks! I'm going tomorrow for cut and colour but I'll tell them I'll call them when I'm ready to go again! Probably every 10 to 12 weeks from now.

I paid about $140 last time for colour, 1/2 head of foils and eyebrow wax.

I hadn't even had my hair cut for over 18 months so i went to the hairdressers about 2 weeks ago. I got it cut into a different style, even got a fringe put back in that goes off to the side a bit. havn't had a fringe since i was about 10. I then got it coloured blue-black(normally its brown) and got some red foils throughout. Looks pretty funky and it was really needed. It cost me $160.

eeeek! that means you are holding ME responsible! if it's anything like how mine went Saturday, then you'll be thanking me later!! hehe I am so happy i got mine done... i ended up spending $40 on shampoo and conditioner (total) damn it! Its for blondes, you know that stuff? but it keeps your hair from going yellow and yuccky blonde colours so yeah i needed it!!! besides, i figured, hey, i'll be pregnant within 3mths time (I hope) so once i'm pregnant i dont think i'll want to get my hair done so yeah i'm spoiling myself now as i wont be able to do it for 9mths hehe

My hairdresser is relocating so he gave me a free cut and colour today in exchange for selling some stuff on Ebay, I'm stoked! usually I pay around $90 every three months, I refuse to go anywhere else as he's the best.

I'm not into facials or massages so getting my hair done is my pampering time, hehehe..

The last time I went to the hairdresser was 5 days before my due date, the hairdresser was impressed that I was happily out and about so late in my pregnancy...well after everyone telling me I would most likely be overdue what was there to worry about? I got home, parked, jumped out of the car and my waters broke! Anyway, that was almost 11 months ago and I have no plans to get my hair cut at the hairdressers as yet......and I haven't dyed my hair in over 5 years, in fact I've never had my hair coloured at the hairdressers either. I think its because I had some awful hair cuts as a child.....

I Color every 6 to 12 months. My hair is terrible at the moment. Its half brown on top/half blonde on the other half. I want to get blonde foils and dark underneath. I had this look a while back but has since grown out.

My DH doesn't believe in hairdressers! He did have long hair at one stage himself.

Men - they just don't u/stand do they!

Caz - yeah my DF cant understand why i need to go to hairdresser every 5mths! I tell him that that is not bad considering some women go once a month!! (not that that is bad either)

I cut my DF's hair for him with the electric shaver, no#2. saves us $$ and doesnt look that bad! I am getting good at it

Rayray - yeah the purple stuff... sorry bit late replying!!!

I just got my roots re done on Monday and got my red foiled re hi-lighted, looks mich better.

Ren, i also do DHs with either #2 or #3. So much easier plus he wont go to a hairdresser because he thinks $20 is too expensive. yet I pay over $100 and he thinks that's fine lol.
